แนวความคิด
สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐโคลอมเบียประจำประเทศไทยร่วมกับสำนักบริหารศิลปวัฒนธรรม จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ขอนำเสนอนิทรรศการที่มีชื่อ “Winds of Peace”(สายลมแห่งสันติภาพ)

นิทรรศการ “Winds of Peace”(สายลมแห่งสันติภาพ) เป็นการจัดแสดงผลงานศิลปะเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองในการประสบความสำเร็จในกระบวนการสร้างสันติภาพของประเทศโคลอมเบีย อย่างที่ทราบกันดีว่ารัฐบาลของสาธารณรัฐโคลอมเบียประสบความสำเร็จในการเจรจาเพื่อยุติการต่อสู้กับกลุ่มต่อต้านที่มีความขัดแย้งกันมาเป็นเวลานานกว่า 2-3 ทศวรรษ ซึ่งปัจจุบันนี้ชาวโคลอมเบียทั้งหมดสามารถหลอมรวมอยู่ร่วมกันได้ในสาธารณรัฐโคลอมเบีย

การประสบความสำเร็จในสร้างสันติภาพนี้ได้รับการยอมรับอย่างกว้างขวางหนึ่งในนั้นรวมไปถึงการได้รับรางวัลโนเบลสาขาสันติภาพของประธานาธิบดีฮวน มานูเอล ซันโตส (Juan Manuel Santos) แห่งสาธารณรัฐโคลอมเบีย

หนึ่งในสามของศิลปินชาวโคลอมเบียที่มีชื่อเสียงและผลงานของถูกจัดแสดงในนิทรรศการจะเดินทางมาประเทศไทยเพื่อมาร่วมงานในวันเปิดงานนิทรรศการนี้ ซึ่งศิลปินท่านนี้เดินทางมาจากจังหวัด Huila หนึ่งในแคว้นที่ประสบปัญหากับความหายนะที่เกิดจากความรุนแรงในพื้นที่แต่ในวันนี้แคว้นนี้ได้เกิดสายลมใหม่ นั่นคือสายลมแห่งสันติภาพอันเป็นดินแดนที่เฟื่องฟูไปด้วยงานศิลปะและเต็มไปด้วยผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของมนุษย์

Concept
The Embassy of Republic of Colombia in Thailand is pleased to present "Winds of Peace" an exhibition held in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University.

“Winds of Peace” is an artistic celebration of the achievements of the peace process in Colombia. As it is widely known, the Colombian government succeeded to complete a complex process of negotiations with Colombia's main guerrilla force that battled against the institutions for several decades. Today those Colombians are fully integrated into the mainstream of our society in full abidance of the state institutions.

The recognition of this historic achievement has manifested itself in different ways, including notably by the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to the President of the Republic of Colombia, Dr. Juan Manuel Santos.

Mario Ayerbe, one of the tree renowned Colombia artist exhibiting, will be present at the Opening Reception. He is coming to Thailand from the southern province of Huila, one of the regions that historically suffered the most from the scourge of violence. Today that region enjoys new winds, winds of peace, an environment suitable for the flourishing of the arts and other expressions of human creation.
