นิทรรศการ “Live a life” ผลงานโดย ทรงวุฒิ แก้ววิศิษฎ์ (Songwoot Kaewvisit) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 1 - 30 กรกฎาคม 2560 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2560 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ Subhashok The Arts Centre (S.A.C.) : ศุภโชค ดิ อาร์ต เซนเตอร์

..ให้ชีวิตมีสิทธิ์ใช้ ให้หัวใจได้เป็นอิสระ..

พิธีเปิดวันที่ 1 กรกฎาคม 2560 เวลา 18.00 น.
จัดแสดงตั้งแต่วันที่ 1-30 กรกฎาคม 2560

มนุษย์เกิดมาพร้อมกับเซลล์สมอง 100,000 ล้านเซลล์ เซลส์สมองแต่ละเซลส์จะเชื่อมโยงปลายประสาทเข้าหากัน โยงใยเจริญเติบโตอย่างเต็มที่สูงสุดในช่วงอายุประมาณ 10 ขวบ หลังจากนั้นก็จะชะลอและลดลงเรื่อยๆ โดยเหลือประมาณแค่ 50,000 ล้านเซลล์เท่านั้นในวัยที่เป็นผู้ใหญ่ ธรรมชาติได้มอบของขวัญที่มีค่าให้กับชีวิตมนุษย์ นั่นคือช่วง“ วัยเด็ก ” ช่วงเวลาที่สำคัญ วัยที่จินตนาการและความคิดสร้างสรรค์เติบโตอย่างทรงพลัง

แม้ว่าวัยเด็กจะเป็นวัยที่สมองมนุษย์เปิดรับการเรียนรู้อย่างเต็มที่สูงสุด แต่ก็เป็นเรื่องน่าเศร้าที่ในเวลาเดียวกันจินตนาการมหัศจรรย์ของเด็กๆ มักถูกยับยั้งหรือทำลายลงด้วยน้ำมือของผู้ใหญ่ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในประเทศไทยที่อำนาจและความโง่เขลาถูกใช้ปะปนเละเทะในวัฏจักรอุบาทว์ของระบบการศึกษา เด็กไทยกลุ่มใหญ่จึงต้องเติบโตท่ามกลางความเสี่ยง อนาคตต้องพังทลายลงอย่างที่ไม่ควรจะเป็น ความไร้เดียงสาของเด็กกลายเป็นเครื่องเล่นให้ผู้ใหญ่กลุ่มหนึ่งครอบงำและกำหนดบทบาทชีวิตให้ ผู้ใหญ่ที่ทัศนคติคับแคบ มักนำผลประโยชน์และความรู้สึกของตนมาปิดกั้นอิสระในการคิดและการใช้ชีวิตของเด็กๆเสมอ ชีวิตน้อยๆถูกตัดสินให้เดินไปอย่างที่ผู้อื่นต้องการ โดยไร้สิทธิ์ปฏิเสธ

ศิลปิน ทรงวุฒิแก้ววิศิษฏ์ เขาเติบโตขึ้นมาในอำเภอมัญจาคีรี อำเภอเล็กๆของจังหวัดขอนแก่น เขาเองก็เคยมีวัยเด็กที่สับสนและเต็มไปด้วยคำถามที่ไม่เคยได้รับคำตอบ เมื่อวันเวลาผ่านมาจนปัจจุบัน ในร่างของผู้ใหญ่หัวใจของเขายังคงโหยหาบางสิ่งที่ขาดหายไปในวัยเด็ก และในวันนี้ประสบการณ์ชีวิตทำให้เขารู้ซึ้งแล้วถึงคำตอบของคำถามที่เคยสงสัยมานาน ศิลปินจึงเลือกใช้วิถีแห่งการสร้างงานศิลปะเป็นเสมือนกระบอกเสียงแทนเด็กๆจำนวนมากที่ถูกริดรอนโอกาสในเสรีภาพแห่งสติปัญญาและจินตนาการ

“ ยิ่งอายุมากขึ้น ผ่านเวลา ผ่านประสบการณ์ทั้งสุขและทุกข์ ผมยิ่งรู้สึกรักรากเหง้าบ้านเกิดที่ผมกำเนิดมา รักครอบครัว ผู้คน วิถีชีวิตที่หล่อหลอมตนเองขึ้นมาในวันนี้ เรื่องราววัยเด็กความเป็นจริงที่ผมเติบโตขึ้นในอำเภอเล็กๆของจังหวัดขอนแก่น กลับกลายเป็นแรงบันดาลใจขนาดใหญ่ เป็นแรงกระตุ้นให้ผมได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะชุดนี้ขึ้น ผลงานของผมพูดถึงเด็กๆที่ถูกตีกรอบโดยระบบความคิดของผู้ใหญ่ เป็นมุมมองที่เห็นใจและสงสารพวกเขามาก...

เราทุกคนก็เคยเป็นเด็ก ผมและคุณเคยเป็นเด็ก เราเคยอยากให้ผู้ใหญ่เข้าใจเรา แต่เมื่อพอเราโตเป็นผู้ใหญ่ เรากลับลืม.... ลืมใส่ใจแววตาที่ร้องขอความเข้าใจนั้น ลืมคิดไปว่าเด็กๆก็มีชีวิตของตนเอง เด็กๆในยุคปัจจุบันยังคงต้องเจอแรงกดดัน การถูกบีบบังคับ การหลอกลวงทางวาทกรรม ไม่ต่างกันกับเด็กๆในอดีต ผมเองก็เคยได้เจอมา มีหลายเรื่องที่จำฝังใจ ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าวันเวลาผ่านไป แต่ระบบการศึกษาและความคิดของผู้ใหญ่กลุ่มหนึ่งที่ดูแลเรื่องเหล่านี้ไม่ได้พัฒนาขึ้นเลย

ผมสร้างงานจิตรกรรมชุดนี้อย่างตรงไปตรงมา ใช้สัญลักษณ์ในวัยเด็ก เครื่องมือเครื่องไม้ในการเรียน อุปกรณ์การสร้างสรรค์สมัยเด็กๆมาบอกเล่า   ทั้ง กระดาษ ดินสอ ดินน้ำมันที่ชอบเอามาปั้นเป็นตัวโน้นตัวนี้ รวมทั้งภาพของเด็กๆในละแวกบ้านที่เขามีตัวตนจริง ผมเฝ้ามองความเป็นไปของพวกเขา โดยเห็นภาพตัวเราเองในสมัยเด็กๆ ซ้อนทับในภาพชีวิตนั้น ผลงานชุดนี้ท้าทายผมมาก ทั้งวิธีคิด ที่ยิ่งทำยิ่งเหมือนได้ย้อนเวลา ยิ่งจำได้ ยิ่งดำดิ่งลงไปในความทรงจำ ว่าเราเคยเจออะไรมา ทั้งตลกขบขัน หรือบางภาพนี่ก็เป็นประสบการณ์เศร้ามากๆเหตุการณ์ที่เคยร้องไห้จนตัวชาก็มี วิธีการทำงานผมก็ต้องศึกษาหาเทคนิคใหม่ คู่สีใหม่ เพื่อจะสื่อสารเนื้อหาให้สมบูรณ์ที่สุด การถ่ายทอดอารมณ์ความรู้สึกผ่านเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของวัตถุชนิดต่างๆเช่น ลายนิ้วมือที่ติดบนดินน้ำมัน รอยเผา รอยขูดขีด อารมณ์ที่สื่อผ่านรอยกดทับ รอยเจาะของดวงตา จมูก ปาก ต้องทำความเข้าใจในวัตถุไปพร้อมๆกับการสร้างตัวตนสมมติในงานจิตรกรรม มันยากมากในตอนแรก แต่พอผมเข้าใจก็เป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกันได้ ผมหวังอย่างยิ่งว่า สีสันละมุน ภาษาศิลปะที่เรียบง่ายครั้งนี้จะสร้างสำนึกให้ผู้ใหญ่อย่างเราเห็นคุณค่าของชีวิตเด็กๆมากขึ้น ผ่านความทรงจำของผู้ชมและตัวผมเองร่วมกัน “

ทรงวุฒิ แก้ววิศิษฎ์ เกิดในปี 2520 ที่อำเภอมัญจคีรี จังหวัด ขอนแก่น ประเทศไทย เขาศึกษาวิชาจิตรกรรมทั้งในระดับปริญญาตรีและปริญญาโท จากคณะจิตรกรรมฯ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ผลงานของเขาได้รับการยอมรับในวงกว้าง ถูกจัดแสดงทั้งในและต่างประเทศ รวมถึงการได้รับรางวัลมากมาย อาทิ The 1st prize of the excellent art competition of Asian supported by group of Philip Morris Company ในปี 2003, Awarded the special prize of the 16th “BRING GOOD TO LIFE” art exhibition supported by Toshiba Co.Ltd. ในปี 2004 รวมถึง The best prize subject king of democracy for install the new building Council Thailand Bangkok ในปี 2012 และ The best prize contemporary painting Panasonic Thailand 15st ในปี 2013 เป็นต้น
จากความสนใจในเรื่องของบุคคลและการอุปมา ผลงานของทรงวุฒิเป็นงานจิตรกรรมภาพบุคคลที่ไม่ใช่ภาพเหมือน แต่เป็นภาพที่สะท้อนชีวิต สภาวะจิตใจ อารมณ์ความรู้สึกของบุคคล โดยใบหน้าของบุคคลเหล่านั้นได้ถูกเปลี่ยนให้เป็นวัตถุเข้าไปแทนที่ คล้ายกับการสร้างสำนวนแบบบุคคลวัต (personification) ที่เปรียบเปรยให้สิ่งของวัตถุมีลักษณะคล้ายกับมนุษย์ และในผลงานของเขาบางครั้งมนุษย์ก็กลับคล้ายกับสิ่งของด้วยเช่นกัน โดยเฉพาะเรื่องราวของเด็กๆ ที่เขาสนใจในช่วงหลัง ทรงวุฒิวาดภาพดินน้ำมัน ผสมกับวัตถุต่างๆ เพื่อเล่าเรื่องราวที่เขาได้รับรู้ รวมถึงการวิพากษ์ระบบการศึกษา สังคม ผ่านภาพเด็กนักเรียนที่มีใบหน้าเป็นดินน้ำมันบิดเบี้ยวผิดเพี้ยน
