แนวความคิด
Art Brut คือ แนวคิดที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากศิลปินชาวฝรั่งเศส Jean Dubuffet ในปี ค.ศ. 1945 ซึ่งหมายความถึงงานศิลปะที่สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นโดยบุคคลที่ไม่ได้ผ่านการฝึกฝนอย่างจริงจัง เพื่อแสดงออกถึงอารมณ์ความรู้สึกที่ท่วมท้นอยู่ภายใน โดยไม่สนใจขนบวิธีหรืออิงสมัยนิยม

งานศิลปะ Art Brut ส่วนใหญ่สร้างขึ้นโดยบุคคลผู้มีภาวะบกพร่องทางสติปัญญาและจิตใจ ซึ่ง Borderless Art Museum NO-MA ได้ริเริ่มศึกษางานศิลปะประเภทนี้ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นก่อน และเข้ามาศึกษางานในประเทศไทยเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2015 และในปีนี้เอง ที่เราจะจัดนิทรรศการแสดงงานศิลปะ Art Brut ของศิลปินชาวญี่ปุ่นและชาวไทย เพื่อจุดมุ่งหมายที่จะทำให้งานศิลปะ Art Brut เป็นที่รู้จักในวงกว้างมากขึ้น และเพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้บุคคลผู้มีความสามารถทางด้านศิลปะแต่ถูกมองข้าม ให้ได้มีโอกาสแสดงผลงานต่อสาธารณชน รวมไปถึงเพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรม และกระชับความสัมพันธ์ของทั้งสองประเทศให้แนบแน่นขึ้น

ทั้งนี้ ในวันที่ 8 มีนาคม จะมีการจัดสัมมนาที่หอแสดงดนตรี อาคารศิลปวัฒนธรรม เวลา 14.00 น. โดยผู้บรรยายจากทั้งสองประเทศ ในหัวข้อที่ว่า “Art Brut แรงกระตุ้นที่ถูกปิดบัง ได้เวลาเปิดเผย” “ศิลปะ Art Brut มีศักยภาพอย่างไร ทำไมจึงดึงดูดความสนใจของหน่วยงานสวัสดิการสังคมสงเคราะห์ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นได้” “การวิเคราะห์งานศิลปะ Art Brut เชิงลึก โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากประเทศญี่ปุ่นและประเทศไทย”

Art Brut was a concept advocated by French artist Jean Dubuffet in 1945, and refers to art created by those with no formal art training to express emotions which well up from within, without regard to traditions or trends.

Many works created by people with intellectual or mental disabilities are included in this genre of art. We, at Borderless Art Museum NO-MA, have been studying works of Art Brut in Japan. We also began studying works of Art Brut in Thailand in 2015. We will be holding an exhibition of Art Brut of both Thailand and Japan, in an aim to publicize this form of art to the wider public, and to create an opportunity for those who have not yet been valued in the context of art to exhibit their unique talents, as well as develop cultural exchange activities and promote closer ties between the two countries.

We also will be holding the Symposium on March 8 th . In the symposium, experts from each country speak about art brut. With the Art Brut, one’s hidden impulses are expressed. What sort of potential does this type of art have, which is attracting the attention of welfare institutions in Japan? We will examine Art Brut in depth with experts of both Thailand and Japan.
