แกลเลอรี่ ดี-ไนน์ ขอเชิญผู้สนใจศิลปะร่วมสมัย ร่วมชมงานนิทรรศการของ ลลินธร เพ็ญเจริญ ซึ่งเป็นนิทรรศการแสดงผลงานภาพวาดลายเส้น เป็นครั้งที่ 2 ของเธอ

รูปลักษณ์ภายนอกของบุคคลกลายเป็นปัจจัยอย่างหนึ่งในการดํารงชีวิตอยู่ของมนุษย์ ซึ่งติดตรึงอยู่กับกิเลสมาร บางคนมีโอกาสดีกว่าคือ มีรูปลักษณ์ดีติดตัวมาแต่กําเนิด บางคนต้องสร้างขึ้นใหม่ตามความชื่นชอบ รสนิยมทางสังคม หรือด้วยปัจจัยบีบคั้น และเพื่อรวบรัดเวลาในการต่อรองก็เลือกใช้อวัยวะเป็นเครื่องมัดใจฝ่ายตรงข้าม เช่นเดียวกับพืชกินสัตว์ (Carnivorous Plant) มีรูปลักษณ์ภายนอกสวยงามเพื่อการหาอาหารยังชีพด้วยการดักสัตว์หรือแมลง เป็นกับดักทางธรรมชาติ เป็นกลไกที่ธรรมชาติสร้างขึ้นเพื่อหลอกล่อให้เหยื่อเข้ามาติดกับเพื่อความอยู่รอดของพืชต่อไป

การเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมข้างต้นถูกนํามาบันทึกไว้ด้วยภาพวาดลายเส้นในเชิงล้อเลียนส่อเสียดสังคม โดยการผสมผสานรูปทรงพืชกินสัตว์กับอวัยวะของมนุษย์ ให้กลับกลายเป็นพืชสายพันธุ์ใหม่ มีพฤติกรรมราวกับมนุษย์ที่ดํารงอยู่ในสังคมร่วมสมัย

ผลงานชุด “Flora and Mara” ยังคงหยิบยืมภาพลักษณ์ (Appropriation) จากภาพวาดทางวิทยาศาสตร์ (Scientific Illustrations) เพื่อนําเสนอผลงานศิลปะที่มีความเด่นชัดทั้งแนวความคิดและสุนทรียะ เป็นศิลปะร่วมสมัยอีกหนึ่งแนวทางที่ให้แง่คิดและความเพลิดเพลินไปพร้อมกัน ตลอดจนช่วยส่งเสริมให้เนื้อหาแลดูสมจริง ด้วยภาษาภาพที่อยู่กึ่งกลางระหว่างความหยาบคายกับความรื่นรมณ์

ภาพวาดทางวิทยาศาสตร์เป็นหลักฐานหนึ่งที่แสดงให้เห็นการบรรจบกัน (Intersection) ระหว่างศิลปะกับวิทยาศาสตร์ซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวของสัมพันธ์กันมาโดยตลอด เป็นการเชื่อมโยงกันระหว่างการ ใช้เหตุผล (Rational) กับความไร้เหตุผล (Irrational) หรือสภาวะทางวัตถุวิสัย (Objective) กับสภาวะอารมณ์ (Subjective) ที่แสดงออกมาในรูปจินตนาการ

กล่าวได้ว่า การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุดนี้ให้ความสําคัญทั้งแนวความคิดและการสร้างลูกผสมของรูปลักษณ์ที่เป็นทั้งศาสตร์และศิลป์ เพี่อการแสดงออกถึงสัดส่วนแห่งการผสมกลมกลืนกัน ระหว่างลมหายใจหรือชีวภาพของพฤกษาและมาร

“Flora and Mara”
(Conceptual Drawing Exhibition) by Lalinthorn Phencharoen

Gallery D-9 would like to invite you who are interested in contemporary art to visit Latinthorn Phencharoen exhibition which is her 2nd Drawing Exhibition.

Nowadays, the personal image is an essential factor of human existence, adhered with desires. Some people have better chances with physically perfect images, meanwhile others have to present their appearances along with social trends although they might make efforts to win their clients’ impression. Undeniably, physical appearance is one of the most crucial keys to success for human survival.

Resemblance to carnivorous plants in that biological mechanism adapting its appearance attracts prey for living. The plant presents beautiful shape, colors, or smell to trap insects and small animals for its nutrients.

The production of conceptual drawings intends to be functioned as satirical images or social criticism. In metaphorical drawings, both appearances of human and the carnivorous plant which are presented in blending forms show new kinds of social species and signify social behaviors of contemporary society.

“Flora and Mara” drawing series still appropriate (borrow) floral forms from scientific illustrations and blend it with human fragments. The contemporary artworks clearly try to keep balance between conceptual and aesthetical visions, providing some perspective and delightfulness to viewers. In other words, pictures consist of both uneducated and pleasant picture languages.

Scientific illustrations are the evidence indicates an intersection of art and science which have continuously been developed throughout the history of Western art. Apparently, the illustrations show closely relationship between realism and imagination, rational and irrational, or objective and subjective conditions.

Finally, this series of conceptual drawings emphasize on the harmony of both conception of criticism and hybrid images that provoke the biological breath of “flora and Mara.”
