นิทรรศการศิลปะ "Games People Play"

นิทรรศการศิลปะ "Games People Play" ผลงานโดย ธีรวิช ภูผา (Theerawitch Poopha) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 19 ตุลาคม - 22 ธันวาคม 2567 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในเสาร์ที่ 19 ตุลาคม 2567 เวลา 17.00 น. ณ VS Gallery

VS Gallery ภูมิใจเสนอ Games People Play นิทรรศการศิลปะโดย ธีรวิช ภูผา Theerawitch Poopha จิตรกรผู้นำเสนอผลงานแนว surrealism ที่นำเกมตู้ (arcade video game) เป็นสัญลักษณ์หลักในการเล่าเรื่องเสียดสีประวัติศาสตร์ของสังคมไทยจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยศิลปินเปรียบเปรยเกมตู้ ในฐานะเครื่องมือที่ให้รางวัลและลงโทษทางจิตวิทยา เพื่อกำหนดกติกาให้ผู้คนในสังคมปฏิบัติตาม ซึ่งสะท้อนการเรียนรู้ผ่านระบบการศึกษาและการปลูกฝังทางสังคม เพื่อชี้นำแนวโน้มความคิดต่อผู้คนในกลุ่มเพศ วัย และความเชื่อทางศาสนาและการเมืองหนึ่ง ให้ปฏิบัติต่อเพื่อนมนุษย์ฝ่ายตรงกันข้ามด้วยความรุนแรง โดยธีรวิช ภูผา ได้นำประสบการณ์ที่ผู้คนในสังคมไทยต่างมีร่วมกันมาขยายความในผลงานแนวเหนือจริงของเขา

 VS Gallery proudly presents Games People Play, an art exhibition by Teerawitch Poppa, a surrealist artist who uses arcade video games as the main symbol to tell satirical stories about the history of Thai society from the past to the present. The artist compares arcade games as a tool that provides psychological rewards and punishments to set rules for people in society to follow, reflecting learning through the education system and social indoctrination to guide the thinking tendency of people in a certain gender, age group, and religious and political beliefs to treat their fellow human beings with violence. Teerawitch Poppa has used the experiences that people in Thai society share to expand on his surrealist works.

Games People Play art exhibition by Theerawitch Poopha is on display at VS Gallery from Saturday, October 19 to Sunday, December 22, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 19 at 5:00 p.m.
