หากพูดถึง “Picasso” ศิลปินชาวสเปนผู้ทรงอิทธิพลแห่งศตวรรษที่ 20 เชื่อว่าหลายคนคงนึกถึงผลงานชื่อก้องโลกมากมาย แต่รู้หรือไม่ว่าอีกหนึ่งความสำคัญที่เขามีต่อวงการศิลปะนั่นคือการเป็นผู้คิดค้น และบุกเบิกลัทธิศิลปะใหม่ ๆ หนึ่งในนั้นคือลัทธิ Cubism (คิวบิสม์) หรือบาศก์นิยม
Cubism นำเสนอภาพคน วัตถุ และสิ่งของผ่านรูปทรงลูกบาศก์ รูปทรงเรขาคณิต แสดงโครงสร้างของวัตถุนั้น ๆ ในหลายมุมมอง ทั้งด้านหน้า ด้านข้าง หรือด้านหลังในคราวเดียวกัน ทำให้เกิดผลงานที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว
นิทรรศการ Hello, Picasso มีจุดเริ่มต้นมาจากศิลปิน Pang Torsuwan, Nawat Cubic และ Demian Factory ทั้งสามหลงใหลการวาดภาพสไตล์คิวบิสม์ และได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจากผลงานของปิกัสโซ่ ซึ่งสำหรับศิลปินถึงแม้ว่าปิกัสโซ่จะจากโลกแห่งศิลปะไปแล้ว แต่สิ่งที่เขาได้ริเริ่มไว้เมื่อร้อยปีก่อนยังคงดำรงค์อยู่ผ่านผลงานของนักสร้างสรรค์ทั่วทุกมุมโลก ราวกับว่าเขายังมีชีวิตอยู่ และเชื่อว่าจะเป็นเช่นนี้ต่อไปอย่างไม่สิ้นสุดตราบเท่าที่โลกยังมีศิลปะ

When we hear the name "Picasso" we think of the Spanish painter who stands as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. His renowned masterpieces often come to mind. However, it is less widely known that Picasso was also instrumental in inventing and co-founding groundbreaking art movements, one of which is Cubism.
Cubism represents objects or figures through cubes and geometric shapes. It combines different perspectives of subjects—such as front, side, and rear views—into a single picture, resulting in paintings with a unique beauty.
The "Hello, Picasso" exhibition, initiated by artists Pang Torsuwan, Nawat Cubic, and Demian Factory, reflects their profound passion for Cubism and their enduring inspiration from Picasso's creations. From the artists' perspective, although Picasso has been absent from the art world for many years, his influence persists today through countless creators worldwide, as if he remains alive. This legacy is expected to endure as long as art itself exists.
