อดิศักดิ์ใช้เทคนิคทั่วไปอย่างการวาดภาพสีน้ำมันและแกรไฟต์ ผสานเข้ากับเทคนิคการเคลือบอีนาเมลและเผาไฟ ก่อให้เกิดผลลัพธ์ชวนพิศวงบนพื้นผิวของผ้าใบ พื้นที่ตรงกลางของผลงานแต่ละชิ้นปรากฏรูปทรงกลม เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของปัจเจกบุคคลท่ามกลางสถานการณ์โลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตลอดเวลา ภาพวาดของอดิศักดิ์จึงเปรียบเสมือนการสะท้อนตัวตน ชวนให้ตั้งคำถามกับตำแหน่งแห่งที่ของเราในโลกดิจิทัล พร้อมตระหนักถึงอันตรายที่ซ่อนอยู่ในฉากหน้าอันน่าดึงดูดของโซเชียลมีเดียสำหรับชื่อของนิทรรศการ “เดอะ เกรท เอ็กซ์แพนชัน” ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจครั้งประวัติศาสตร์ช่วงทศวรรษ 1920 “เดอะ เกรท ดีเปรสชัน” ศิลปินเปรียบเปรยวิกฤตการณ์ในอดีตเมื่อหนึ่งศตวรรษก่อนหน้า เข้ากับปรากฏการณ์โซเชียลมีเดียในปัจจุบัน เขามองว่ามันคือการแผ่ขยายอิทธิพลรูปแบบใหม่ แม้จะมองไม่เห็น แต่กลับส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อวิถีชีวิตและอัตลักษณ์ของปัจเจกบุคคล
Adisak combines traditional oil and graphite painting with unique enamel and fire technique, charring the canvas surface for a textural and mysterious effect. At the center of each piece lies a circle, symbolizing the individual self amidst a world of constant change. His paintings act as a form of self-reflection, prompting us to question our place in this digital age and the potential dangers that lie beneath the captivating surface of social media.
The title, "The Great Expansion," is a thought-provoking reference to the historical economic crisis of the 1920s — The Great Depression. Adisak compares this past event to the current social media phenomenon, which he sees as a new kind of expansion — a pervasive force that invisibly shapes our lives and identities.
