นิทรรศการ "เพ็งๆ พาๆ หาๆ ฤๅๆ : ENDLESS PRAYER" ผลงานโดย สิรวิชญ์ จตุรภัทรานนท์ (Sirawit Chatu) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 5 - 28 พฤศจิกายน 2566 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 11 พฤศจิกายน 2566 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ Palette Artspace

ENDLESS PRAYER : เพ็งๆ พาๆ หาๆ ฤๅๆ (คาถาพระราชพรหมยาน หลวงพ่อฤาษีลิงดำ วัดท่าซุง) เป็นคาถาเรียกเงินล้านที่ตอกย้ำปรากฏการณ์ในสังคมไทยซึ่งผสานมิติทางจิตวิญญาณเข้ากับระบบทุนนิยม การสวดขอพรให้ร่ำรวยเป็นทางเลือกหนึ่งที่ใช้ตอบโต้กับเงื่อนไขทางเศรษฐกิจที่ท้าทาย แต่ทว่าเมื่อผู้คนต้องใช้ชีวิตไล่ตามพลวัตทางเศรษฐกิจที่ขับเคลื่อนไปด้วยระบบทุนนิยมอย่างรวดเร็วไร้ปรานี การอธิษฐานเหล่านี้จึงกลายเป็นการภาวนาไปอย่างไร้ที่สิ้นสุด
ปัน (สิรวิชญ์ จตุรภัทรานนท์) ได้ท้าทายความคิดแบบไทยๆ ด้วยอารมณ์ขันอย่างไม่มีข้อยกเว้น สะท้อนความเป็นไปของความเชื่อที่ผูกสัมพันธ์กับทุน(ไทย)นิยม ผลงานของปันได้หยิบยกภาพจำและสื่อจำลอง (The Simulacrum) สร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานที่ตั้งคำถามถึงคุณค่า มูลค่าและความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ที่ทั้งหมดทั้งสิ้นถูกขับเคลื่อนด้วย “เงิน”

ENDLESS PRAYER : "Pheng Pheng - Pha Pha - Ha Ha - Rue Rue" (The Bhramayana incarnation of ‘Ling Dum Hermit’ from Tha Sung Temple), This money-blessing prayer represents the relation of spiritual belief and capitalism concept in Thai society for such a very long period of time. Praying, as a financial abundance manifesting, becomes an option which people use to deal with their economic struggles. Whereas, when we have to chase after the economic dynamic in life (that is impossible to keep up with), this type of incarnation turns into ‘Endless Prayer’.

The exhibition delves into the intricate relationship between capitalism and spirituality, highlighting how economic factors have become intertwined with religious practices. Sirawit Chatu's artwork sheds light on how local myths and traditional beliefs are commodified and exploited within this context. Through the incorporation of the media, the exhibition showcases how these capitalist influences perpetuate an endless cycle of prayer and devotion.

“Pun” (Sirawit Chatu) challenges the Thai mindset without any exception and reflects the prevalence of beliefs associated with the capitalist system in Thailand. Through his thought-provoking artworks, Sirawit creates the juxtaposition of religion and pop culture prompting the audience to reappraise their beliefs and perceptions toward social norms. With a unique 'Thai style', he masterfully weaves humor into his creations, unraveling the seriousness that veils holiness.
