นิทรรศการ "To All Bystanders" ผลงานโดย Temporary West จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 2 กันยายน - 22 ตุลาคม 2566 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันเสาร์ที่ 2 กันยายน 2566 เวลา 17.00 น. ณ JWD Art Space

JWD Art Space ขอนําเสนอนิทรรศการ 'To All Bystanders' โดย Temporary West กลุ่มศิลปินแนวสตรีทอาร์ตรุ่นใหม่ซึ่งรวมตัวกันครั้งแรกที่จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์ เมืองชายฝั่งทะเลในภาคตะวันตกของไทย พวกเขาร่วมกันสร้างผลงานศิลปะบนกําแพงหรือกราฟฟิตี้ (Graffiti) ในพื้นที่สาธารณะ เพื่อทําให้เมืองมีชีวิตชีวาและคึกคักขึ้นมาจากวัฒนธรรมย่อย มากไปกว่านั้น พวกเขามีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างผลงานกราฟฟิตี้ในพื้นที่หลายแห่งทั้งในและต่างประเทศ รวมทั้งยังสร้างสรรค์ผลงานร่วมกับแบรนด์สินค้าที่มีชื่อเสียงจํานวนมาก

นิทรรศการ 'To All Bystanders' นําเสนอปฏิบัติการทางศิลปะของสมาชิกแต่ละคน อย่างไม่มีขีดจํากัดผ่านสื่อหลากหลายรูปแบบ ทั้งการพ่นสีสเปรย์ ภาพถ่าย ภาพเคลื่อนไหว สื่อผสม และงานประติมากรรม ภายใต้กรอบคิดเรื่องชุมชนและการสื่อสาร โครงสร้างอํานาจและการต่อต้าน ควบคู่ไปกับการน่าเสนอวัฒนธรรมย่อยและภูมิทัศน์ของเมือง

โดยชิ้นงานไฮไลท์ของนิทรรศการนี้ คือ กําแพงขนาดยาวกว่า 5 เมตร ซึ่งเหล่าศิลปิน Temporary West ได้ยกผลงานสตรีทอาร์ตข้างถนนให้มาโลดแล่นในแบบ 'อินดอร์' โดยแต่ละคนได้ถ่ายทอดความเป็นตัวเองและเทคนิคเฉพาะตัวและนําเสนอในรูปแบบกราฟฟิตี้จนออกมาเป็นผลงานที่โดดเด่นและเปี่ยมไปด้วยความคิดสร้างสรรค์

10 ศิลปินจากกลุ่ม Temporary West ได้แก่ DEIO, HOIE, FREAK, MR.KREME, ORON, RKOI, YOUNGPRAY, PICABOO, MONTEMITH และ Y?

ขอเชิญร่วมงานเปิดนิทรรศการ 'To All Bystanders' ในวันเสาร์ที่ 2 กันยายน 2566 เวลา 17.00 น. เป็นต้นไป โดยนิทรรศการจะเปิดให้เข้าชมตั้งแต่วันที่ 2 กันยายนถึง 22 ตุลาคม 2566 ณ JWD Art Space ชั้น 3 ซอยจุฬาลงกรณ์ 16 เปิดให้บริการทุกวัน (ยกเว้นวัน จันทร์) ตั้งแต่เวลา 10.00 -19.00 น.

‘To All Bystanders’
A group exhibition showcasing the works of the emerging generation of street artists, 'Temporary West.'
2 September – 22 October 2023
Venue: JWD Art Space, 3rd floor

JWD Art space is excited to present ‘To All Bystanders’, an exhibition by Temporary West, a crew of street artists based in Bangkok. Temporary West was first formed in Prachuap Khiri Khan, a coastal province in western Thailand, as the crew aim to enact a public mural to help revitalize the sub-culture scene in the province. Since then the crew has been actively engaged in numerous public mural and commercial projects across Thailand and overseas.

An exhibition, ‘To All Bystanders’ showcases an extensive practice of each crew member whose mediums aren’t limited to spray painting but photography, moving images, mixed media, and sculptures. With ideas centers around the concept of community and communication, authority and aggression along with subcultures and cityscapes.

The highlight of this exhibition is a wall that spans over 5 meters, featuring the ingenious transformation of street art for indoor display by artists from Temporary West. Each artist has conveyed their unique stories resulting in a graffiti art that is both distinctive and full of imaginative ideas.

Temporary West comprises a group of 10 artists: DEIO, HOIE, FREAK, MR.KREME, ORON, RKOI, YOUNGPRAY, PICABOO, MONTEMITH and Y?.

You are cordially invited to attend the opening of the exhibition 'To All Bystanders’ on Saturday, September 2, 2023, starting from 5 PM onwards. The exhibition will be open to the public from September 2 to October 22 2023 at JWD Art Space located on the 3rd floor of Soi Chulalongkorn 16 with daily opening hours from 10 AM to 7 PM (closed on Mondays).
