(ระยะเวลาการจัดแสดงงาน: 20 พฤษภาคม – 30 มิถุนายน 2566)นิทรรศการ Welcome, When Will You Leave? มีจุดเริ่มต้นมาจากการที่มีคนแวะมาเยี่ยมเยือนบ้าน พื้นที่ส่วนตัวที่เป็นแทบจะทุกอย่างของ จารุวัฒน์ หรือ เตว ศิลปินผู้หลงใหลในการตกแต่งบ้านด้วยสีสันสดใส ของสะสมต่างๆ หรือข้าวของเครื่องใช้บนโต๊ะอาหาร การจัดเลี้ยงต้อนรับ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเพื่อน ลูกค้า ล้วนเป็นเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นในพื้นที่ที่ศิลปินอาศัยและใช้ทำงาน
ด้วยธีมจัดเลี้ยงต่างๆตามอารมณ์ที่บ่งบอกถึงตัวตนของศิลปิน ซึ่งจะแตกต่างกันออกไปในแต่ละครั้ง จนเกิดเป็นเรื่องราวความประทับใจให้กับผู้ที่มาเยือนทุกครั้งไป แสดงให้เห็นถึงความเป็นกันเองของศิลปินที่อยู่อย่างง่ายๆ สบายๆ แต่ในขณะเดียวกลับมีความขัดแย้งบางอย่างอยู่ภายในใจไปพร้อมๆกัน นั่นคือความรู้สึกของการอยากที่จะให้แขกกลับบ้าน(เพราะกลัวคนอื่นเสียเวลาไปกับตัวเอง และศิลปินเองก็เริ่มจะคิดถึงพื้นที่ส่วนตัว) จึงเป็นที่มาของนิทรรศการในครั้งนี้
นิทรรศการบอกเล่าเรื่องราวผ่านภาพวาดและงานเขียน เพิ่มบทสนทนาที่จะคอยหุ้มให้เกิดบรรยากาศระหว่างการชมงานศิลปะ ให้ผู้ชมเกิดจินตนาการถึงตัวตนของศิลปินได้อย่างชัดเจน

เกี่ยวกับศิลปิน
จารุวัฒน์ น้อมรับพร เกิดและโตใน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนนทบุรี สมัยเป็นเด็กน้อย จารุวัฒน์ถูกปฏิเสธคำขอของเล่นตัวต่อสร้างบ้านจากพ่อที่เขาได้เจอเพียงนานๆครั้ง พ่อวาดรูปลามกให้เขาดู จากนั้นเขาก็วาดรูปตลอดมา ต่อหน้าพ่อ แม่ และคุณครู เขาวาดรูปต้นไม้และเครื่องปั้นดินเผาเกาะเกร็ดที่เขาเห็นจากการไปทัศนศึกษา ต่อหน้าเพื่อนๆ เขาวาดรูปจกเปรตจากเรื่องลามกที่เพื่อนของเขาปริ้นท์ออกมาแบ่งกันอ่านเขาเคยพูดกับแม่ครั้งเดียวว่าหมาน่ารัก จากนั้นก็ได้เลี้ยงหมาแมวมาเกิน 20 ชีวิตแล้ว ปัจจุบันมีแมวในบ้านแปดตัวและไม่ต้องการมีสัตว์เลี้ยงใดใดเพิ่มอีกต่อไป ในบ้านมีแมว ในสวนมีงู ในบ่อมีปลา และในห้องน้ำมีตุ๊กแกกับแมลงสาบ มันมากเกินไปแล้วสำหรับเขา
จารุวัฒน์เรียนจบปริญญาตรีและเป็นเหลือบไรครอบครัว เขาขอพ่อและแม่กิน แลกกับการมีสัญญาใจว่าเขาจะไม่ก่อเรื่องรบกวนใดใดให้วุ่นวาย เขาขอเวลาและเงินสำหรับการไปเที่ยว ดูหนัง นัดเจอกับเพื่อน และวาดรูป
เขาได้รับโอกาสหลายต่อหลายครั้ง เขาซาบซึ้งทุกครั้งที่ได้แสดงผลงานตามที่ต่างๆในตลอดห้าปีที่ผ่านมา ภาพที่เขาวาดมักเป็นภาพที่เกี่ยวข้องกับชีวิตของเขา สิ่งที่เขาเห็นว่าสวย สิ่งที่เขาเห็นว่าถ้าทำแบบนี้น่าจะสวย ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศเงียบสงบกึ่งพลุกพล่านของนนทบุรี เขาใช้ชีวิตอย่างถ่อมตน เรียบง่าย แต่ทำงานอย่างบ้าอำนาจและหลงตัวเองนอกจากเรื่องขอเงินพ่อแม่ใช้แล้ว ตอนนี้เขายังทำทุกอย่างเหมือนหลายปีที่ผ่านมา ไปเที่ยว ดูหนัง นัดเจอกับเพื่อน และวาดรูป

Solo Exhibition by Jaruwat Normrubporn (Tew)

At Mini Xspace Gallery, Bangkok
(SHOW PERIOD : 20 May – 30 June 2023)The exhibition "Welcome, When Will You Leave?" originates from visits to the home, the private space, which is almost everything of Jaruwat, or Tew, the artist, who is passionate about decorating his house with vibrant colors, various collectibles, or dining utensils. The hosting of friends or customers—all these stories have taken place in the very space where the artist lives and works.
With various event themes reflecting the artist's identity, each event is unique and leaves a lasting impression on every visitor. It shows the artist's easygoing and comfortable nature, but at the same time, there is an internal conflict. That conflict is the feeling of wanting the guests to leave (because the artist fears that others might waste their time with him and starts to miss his personal space). This is the inspiration behind the exhibition.
This exhibition tells stories through drawings and writings, accompanied by dialogue that completes the ambiance of viewing the artwork. It allows viewers to vividly imagine the artist's identity.
About the Artist:
Jaruwat Naomprapai was born and raised in Mueang district, Nonthaburi province. As a child, Jaruwat was denied a request for a house building blocks toy by his father, whom he had met occasionally. His father drew a pornographic picture for him. Since then, he kept drawing trees and pottery that he saw during field trips in front of his parents and teachers, but in front of his friends, he drew pornographic pictures from pornographic stories his friends printed and shared.
He once told his mother that he found dogs adorable. Since then, he has nurtured over 20 dogs and cats. Currently, he has 8 cats at home and doesn't want to keep any more pets. He has cats in his house, snakes in his garden, fish in his pond, and geckoes and cockroaches in his bathroom. It's too much for him.
Jaruwat graduated from college and has been a hindrance of his family. He asked money from his parents in exchange for an agreement that he won't cause any trouble. He asked for time and money to travel, watch movies, meet friends, and draw pictures.
He had several opportunities and was always fascinated every time he got to display his work in various places over the past five years. The pictures he draws are often related to his life, the things he finds beautiful, and the things he thinks would look beautiful if done in a certain way. Amid the tranquil yet vibrant atmosphere of Nonthaburi, he leads a humble, simple life but works with insane passion and loses himself in it.
Besides the matter of asking for money from his parents, he still does everything as he did in the past years: traveling, watching movies, meeting friends, and drawing pictures.
