นิทรรศการ "BLISS" ผลงานโดย มิติ เรืองกฤตยา (Miti Ruangkritya) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 28 เมษายน - 8 กรกฎาคม 2566 ณ หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร : Art Centre Silpakorn University (วังท่าพระ)

*หากต้องการข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม หรือ นัดหมายเพื่อทำข่าวหรือสัมภาษณ์ สามารถนัดหมายได้ที่หมายเลขโทรศัพท์ 092 298 0092 หรือ Facebook ตลอดระยะเวลาจัดแสดงนิทรรศการเมื่อเราเผชิญหน้ากับช่วงเวลาที่เรียกว่าความสุข เราจะเห็นช่องว่างหรือชั่วขณะของความสุขที่สว่างสดใส และเวลาก็เดินผ่านตัวเรา โอบรัดเรา และเปลี่ยนผ่านไปสู่เศษซากของเถ้าแห่งความสุข การเผชิญหน้ากับชั่วขณะของความสุขนั้นทำให้เรามองย้อนกลับไปสู่ช่วงเวลาของการ "ตัดสินใจ" ที่จะเลือกดำดิ่งอยู่กับมัน หรือซึมซับเพียงเศษเสี้ยวหนึ่งและจากไป สาระของคำว่า "ความสุข" อาจเป็นสิ่งอื่นใดๆในโลกที่ล้วนเปลี่ยนแปลง มีความเป็นปัจจุบันขณะที่มีที่ว่างพอที่จะให้เวลาพัดผ่านไปสู่อดีตอย่างสวยงาม
นิทรรศการ BLISS นำเสนอพื้นที่แห่งมโนทัศน์แรกเริ่มที่มาจากภาพถ่าย Bliss ของ Charles O'Rear ซึ่งถูกนำมาใช้เป็น wallpaper ของระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows XP ที่ขึ้นชื่อว่าเป็นภาพถ่ายที่มีคนเห็นมากที่สุดในโลก โดยพยายามค้นหานัยยะสำคัญในความหมายชั่วขณะของ "ภาพถ่าย" และนำไปสู่การตามหาพื้นที่ของความสุขและความงามตามอุดมคติ
ภาพวิวทิวเขาที่งดงามจากต้นแบบกลับสร้างนัยยะสำคัญต่อการตามหาความหมายของความสุข ที่เมื่อเงื่อนไขของพื้นที่และเวลาเปลี่ยนไปจากธรรมชาติที่เป็นต้นทางของการสร้างมายาคติความงาม สู่ความพยายามที่จงใจของมนุษย์ที่ "สร้าง" ให้มี ให้เป็น ให้คงอยู่ ความงามจากความยิ่งใหญ่ของธรรมชาติได้ปะทะกับความงามจากน้ำมือมนุษย์จนแทบจะแยกไม่ออก และยังผลิกผันไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์จากปัญญาประดิษฐ์ที่เข้ามาเป็นเงื่อนไขหนึ่งของการตีความ "ภาพ" และสร้างออกมาเป็นภาพที่ไร้ดินแดนอยู่จริง
นิทรรศการ BLISS คือการเล่นแร่แปรธาตุนิยามของความสุขผ่านนัยยะภาพถ่ายที่มีการเชื่อมโยงไปยังพื้นที่ ผู้คน สังคมและเวลา และได้สร้างวรรคตอนของเวลาจำเพาะที่กระโดดข้ามไปมาระหว่างอดีต ปัจจุบัน รวมถึงอนาคตที่เรายังไปไม่ถึง
BLISS ได้เปิดพื้นที่ให้ผู้ชมขบคิดและมีบทสนทนาโดยตรงกับ "ภาพถ่าย" และภาพถ่ายเหล่านั้นเองได้พาเราไปสู่ดินแดนใหม่ที่เป็นพื้นที่ที่ยังไม่มีใครเข้าถึง ที่ซึ่งอาจเป็นดั่งสรวงสวรรค์หรืออาจเป็นเพียงหลุมดำในหุบเหวลึก
เกี่ยวกับศิลปิน
มิติ เรืองกฤตยา (เกิด 2524 กรุงเทพฯ) จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท สาขา Photography and Photojournalism จาก University of Westminster ประเทศอังกฤษ เป็นศิลปินด้านภาพถ่ายร่วมสมัยที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการนำเสนอผลงานในระดับชาติและนานาชาติอย่างต่อเนื่อง ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ฮ่องกง ออสเตรเลีย สิงคโปร์ เยอรมนี สหรัฐอเมริกา และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย โดยล่าสุดผลงานได้ร่วมแสดงในนิทรรศการ ʻLiving Pictures: Photography in Southeast Asia’ (สิงคโปร์) และ 'UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. Regional Writings (Southeast Asia)ʼ (เยอรมนี) รวมถึงได้รับการเสนอชื่อในรางวัล Paul Huf award (2023) และ Prix Pictet (2021) นอกจากนี้ยังมีผลงานในศิลปะสะสมของ Singapore Art Museum (สิงคโปร์) พิพิธภัณฑ์ศิลปะร่วมสมัยใหม่เอี่ยม (ไทย) สำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย กระทรวงวัฒนธรรม (ไทย) The Backers Foundation (ญี่ปุ่น) และในสถาบันศิลปะอื่นๆอีกด้วยมิติทำงานภาพถ่ายที่สะท้อนมุมมองที่เเหลมคมในการบันทึกภาพในห้วงขณะเวลาที่เหมาะสม สิ่งที่ซ่อนอยู่ไม่ใช่เเค่เพียงภาพถ่ายที่แน่นิ่งสวยงาม หากเเต่มีความหมายนัยซ่อนเร้นที่แฝงไปด้วยความคิดที่เฉียบคม
มิติ คือนักเล่นแร่แปรธาตุภาพถ่ายที่สร้างการเชื่อมต่อระหว่างเรื่องราวของพื้นที่ ผู้คน และเวลาได้อย่างน่าสนใจ ผลงานของมิติสร้างแรงสั่นสะเทือนทางความคิดที่สามารถกะเทาะมายาที่เคลือบฉาบความสวยงามของภาพถ่ายและมุ่งเข้าไปสู่สาระความคิดได้อย่างแยบคาย

The blissful time embraces us before it changes into remnants of bliss. The bliss is a new frontier of smoke and cloud that comes and goes, flowing like a stream of river, imperceptible and elusive. The reality of bliss exists only temporarily, but the truth of bliss flows and changes for eternity.
The exhibition BLISS, by Miti Ruangkritya, started with a landscape inspired by Bliss, a photograph of Charles O'Rear used as a wallpaper of Windows XP and regarded as one of the photos most widely seen. This landscape is an imagination of bliss, in which Miti tries to find the significance of the fleeting meaning of "photography", setting off a journey to seek the space of bliss and ideal beauty.
The photo of beautiful landscape creates implications for the pursuit of the meaning of bliss. Conditions of time and space changes from the nature, an origin of beauty, into a deliberate attempt of human beings to "create" the beauty out of the greatness of nature. The natural beauty and the man-made beauty intersect in a way that we cannot separate the two anymore. It also changes into a creation of artificial intelligence, as a condition to reinterpret "photos" and creates a no-where land.
BLISS is an alchemy and redefinition of bliss through photography, connecting space, people, society, and time. It creates a line of a specific time which oscillates between the past and the present and sometimes jumps into the future which we have not yet reached.
BLISS opens up the space for the audience to ponder and converse with photos, setting off a journey to a new land nobody has yet accessed. This land might be paradise or a dark hole in the deep valley.
About artist
Miti Ruangkritya was born in 1981 in Bangkok. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Photography and Photojournalism from University of Westminster, England. Miti is a contemporary artist whose works are extensively exhibited both nationally and internationally including Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, Germany, the United States, etc. His latest works are ‘Living Pictures: Photography in Southeast Asia’, shown in Singapore, and ‘UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN: Regional Writings (Southeast Asia)’, shown in Germany. Miti has been nominated for several awards including Paul Huf Award (2023) and Prix Pictet (2021). Some of his well-known works are part of the collections of Singapore Art Museum (Singapore), MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum (Thailand), Office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture (Thailand), the Backers Foundation (Japan) and many other prestigious art international institutes.Miti’s photography embodies his sharp perspectives in appropriately capturing moments of time. Not only are his works exquisite, but they are embedded with profound meanings and concepts.
Miti is an alchemist whose photos connect places, people and time in an intriguing manner. His works stimulate thought-provoking discussions which tear down myths wrapping the beauty of photos and ingeniously enter into underlying thoughts and concepts.
