นิทรรศการ “My World”

นิทรรศการ “My World” เป็นนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายเดี่ยวครั้งที่สอง ซึ่งคัดเลือกผลงานในช่วงปี 2006 - 2013 ของศิลปินช่างภาพหญิง จิตติมา เสงี่ยมสุนทร จะจัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 12 ตุลาคม –12 พฤศจิกายน 2556 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 12 ตุลาคม 2556 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ Numthong Gallery 

หลังจากทำหน้าที่ถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้กับศิษย์และสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุดใหม่อยู่หลายแรมปี หากกล่าวถึงเรื่องราวของภาพถ่ายหุ่นนิ่ง (still life) และภาพทิวทัศน์(landscape) ชื่อของจิตติมาจะเป็นชื่อแรกๆที่ได้รับการพูดถึงเพราะผลงานของเธอสามารถพาผู้ชมไปสัมผัสได้ถึงวันเวลาสำคัญ

เมื่อโลกแห่งการบันทึกด้วยกล้องถ่ายภาพได้ก้าวเข้าสู่โลกของทัศนศิลป์แนวคิดและสุนทรียะของภาพถ่ายที่ผสานเป็นเนื้อเดียวกับงานศิลปะชั้นสูง อันเป็นต้นกำเนิดการถ่ายภาพในแนวทางPictorialismในปลายศตวรรษที่19 และพัฒนามาเป็นศิลปะภาพถ่ายหลากแนวคิดในปัจจุบัน

กว่า 20 ปีบนเส้นทางของการทำงานศิลปะภาพถ่าย ไวยากรณ์ทางศิลปะที่โลกทั้งใบถูกสร้างขึ้นจากจากแสงและเงา องค์ความรู้ที่กำเนิดจากวิทยาศาสตร์และเคมี

ผลงานของจิตติมาได้เข้ามาแสดงให้เห็นรอยต่อของยุคสมัย เมื่อระบบดิจิตอล โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ และเทคโนโลยีการพิมพ์ขั้นสูงเข้ามาทดแทนฟิล์มและงานฝีมือในห้องมืด

ทว่าสิ่งที่ไม่เคยเปลี่ยนไปจากผลงานของจิตติมาคือความละเอียดอ่อนของมืออาชีพ ที่พัฒนาไปตามยุคสมัย ซึ่งยังทำให้ศิลปะภาพถ่ายยังทรงเสน่ห์ และเต็มไปด้วยมนต์ขลัง

My World is the second solo exhibition of photographer Jittima Sa-ngeamsunthorn featuring images taken from 2006 to 2013. 

She has made a name in the field of still life and landscape photography as her work takes back audiences to the surreal world of visual art and the period of early 20th century Pictorialsim when photographic concepts and aesthetics were integrated to high art. 

For over 20 years, 
Jittima Sa-ngeamsunthorn held the artist’s brush of light and shadows creating graceful images steeped in emotion and imagination. Her career encompasses the transition from film photography and the craft of the darkroom to today’s modern digital system and advanced printing technology. Her photographs, however, retain their professional delicacy and attention to details, which are perfected through time and exude an eminent appeal captured through the magic of her chosen art.
