"อินสนธิ์ นายต้อง drawing และ sketch ทุกวันนะ ถ้านายอยากเป็นศิลปิน"
นี่คือคำสอนของศาสตราจารย์ศิลป์ พีระศรี ที่มีไว้ให้กับอินสนธิ์ วงค์สามเมื่อครั้นอินสนธิ์ยังศึกษาศิลปะอยู่ในรั้วของมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ก่อนที่อินสนธิ์จะเริ่มต้นออกเดินทางที่เปลี่ยนชีวิตของเขาไปตลอดกาลและเป็นศิลปินแห่งชาติอย่างทุกวันนี้

สำหรับคนรุ่นหลังๆแล้ว ชื่อของ ‘อินสนธิ์ วงค์สาม’ อาจจะไม่ได้เป็นที่คุ้นหูมากนัก แต่สำหรับแวดวงของศิลปะไทยนั้น เมื่อเอ่ยชื่อ ‘อินสนธิ์ วงค์สาม’ เป็นที่แน่นอนว่า ภาพจำของอินสนธิ์คือศิลปินที่ใช้ชีวิตอย่างสุดโต่ง เดินทางไปบ้านเกิดของอาจารย์ผู้เป็นที่รักที่ประเทศอิตาลีด้วยสกูตเตอร์หนึ่งคันในวัยเพียง 28 ปีและใช้ชีวิตทำงานศิลปะอยู่ในต่างประเทศกว่าครึ่งชีวิต

การทำงานศิลปะของอินสนธิ์ วงค์สามไม่ต่างกับตัวตนของเขาที่ไม่เคยหยุดพัฒนา อินสนธิ์มีความมั่นคงหนักแน่นและชัดเจนเสมอกับเส้นทางชีวิตของตนเองตลอดเวลา 60 ที่ผ่านมา การเดินทางบนถนนศิลปะของอินสนธ์ยังคงดำเนินต่อไปแม้จะไม่ได้โลดโผนอย่างในอดีต ถนนเส้นเดิมของอินสนธิ์ในวันนี้เต็มไปด้วยความสงบและเรียบง่ายท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ ณ บ้านเกิดที่เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของทุกอย่าง ยิ่งไปกว่านั้นอินสนธิ์ไม่ได้เดินทางโดยลำพังแบบ one man show อีกต่อไป แต่มีเพื่อนร่วมทางมากมายและครอบครัวที่พร้อมจะสนับสนุนและเดินเคียงข้างไปกับอินสนธิ์ ด้วยความรัก ความเคารพและความศรัทธาในอุดมการณ์ชีวิต

อินสนธิ์ วงค์สามในวันนี้มีอายุ 88 ปีและยังคงตื่นขึ้นมาทำงานศิลปะทุกวันดั่งลมหายใจตามคำสอนของอาจารย์ผู้เป็นที่รักที่อินสนธิ์ยึดมั่นและปฏิบัติตามมาตลอดทั้งชีวิตของเขาเพราะ “ศิลปะคือชีวิตของอินสนธิ์ ชีวิตของอินสนธิ์ คือศิลปะ”
นิทรรศการ “Infinite Ride : การเดินทางที่ไม่สิ้นสุด” เป็นการรวบรวมผลงานศิลปะของอินสนธิ์ที่ทำมาอย่างต่อเนื่องยาวนานตั้งแต่ยุคเริ่มต้นจนถึงยุคปัจจุบัน เพื่อเป็นตัวอย่างและแรงบันดาลใจให้กับคนรุ่นหลังถึงความกล้า การเปลี่ยนแปลง การพัฒนาผลงาน ความสม่ำเสมอ ความมุ่งมั่นและตั้งใจในการเดินทางบนเส้นทางแห่งการเป็นศิลปิน

"Inson, you must draw and sketch every day if you want to be an artist."
This is Professor Silpa Bhirasri's teaching to Inson Wongsam when Wongsam was an art student at Silpakorn University, before he embarked on the solo road trip that changed his life forever, and before he was recognized as a national artist as he is today.

The name "Inson Wongsam" may be unfamiliar to younger generations. However, when "Inson Wongsam" is mentioned in the Thai art world, it is certain that Wongsam is known to be a rebellious artist who lived an extreme life, who traveled to his beloved professor's hometown in Italy on a Lambretta scooter at the age of 28, and who spent more than half of his life working on art abroad.

Wongsam's work and life philosophy are the same: never stop evolving. In the past 60 years, he has never wavered in his commitment to his own way of life. Wongsam's artistic journey is still ongoing. That same old road, however, is no longer as spontaneous, spectacular, or extreme as it once was. Instead, it is now filled with peace and simplicity in the midst of nature in his hometown, where it all began. Besides that, Wongsam's journey today is not a one-man show; it is accompanied by travel companions—friends and family who are looking forward to supporting and walking alongside Wongsam with love, respect, and faith in his life dedication.

Inson Wongsam is 88 years old now. He still gets up every day to create art, as if breathing, in accordance with the teachings of his cherished professor, which he has adhered to and followed throughout his life, as known, "Art is life of Inson, Inson’s life is art".
The exhibition "Infinite Ride" is a collection of Wongsam's works of art that have been continuously created over a long period of time, from the beginning to the present, in order to demonstrate the evolution, development, consistency, and determination of becoming an artist, as well as to encourage future generations to continue riding on their dream journey.
