นิทรรศการ Silhouette of memory หรือ เงาภาพ คือการนำเสนอบันทึกและเปิดเผยเรื่องราวในอดีตที่มีสถานการณ์และช่วงเวลาเข้ามาประกอบร่วม เพื่อบอกเล่าเรื่องราวที่ถูกบิดเบือนหรือทอดทิ้งให้หลงลืมไปจากความทรงจำด้วยอำนาจหรือกาลเวลา ภาพลวงต่อมโนทัศน์แทรกซึมเข้าสู่ชีวิตประจำวันอย่างแนบเนียนจนไม่ทันตระหนักรู้ถึงความจริง ซึ่งการก่อเกิดความรุนแรงเหล่านี้ขยายตัวในทิศทางที่ไม่อาจย้อนกลับ เดินทางจากอดีตสู่ความเป็นปัจจุบันและมีแนวโน้มที่จะแปรสภาพไปสู่อนาคตพรชัย เลิศธรรมศิริ เริ่มวาดภาพบันทึกเหตุการณ์สำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์การเมืองไทย ณ ช่วงปี พ.ศ.๒๕๔๙ ในช่วงที่สถานการณ์ความรุนแรงกำลังคุกกรุ่นสืบต่อเนื่องมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน (พ.ศ.๒๕๖๕)
งานชุดนี้เกิดขึ้นได้จากการรวบรวมผลงานของผู้เป็นพ่อจากลูกชายที่อยู่ในทุกกระบวนการทำงานของพ่อมาแต่ต้น อาจารย์พรชัยบันทึกเรื่องราวผ่านดวงตาและคำอธิบายซึ่งเกิดขึ้นในบริเวณพื้นที่และสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นจริงเบื้องหน้า ณ ขณะนั้นจากการทำงานร่วมกับลูกชายเสมอ ศิลปินมีลูกชายเป็นผู้ช่วยในการเก็บเกี่ยวข้อมูลและจับรายละเอียดของภาพเหตุการณ์การชุมนุมเบื้องหน้าแต่ครั้งวัยเยาว์ สืบเนื่องจากอดีตมาจนถึงปัจจุบันภาพชุดเหล่านี้ถูกเก็บรักษาไว้อย่างมิดชิด ไม่เคยได้ถูกนำไปจัดแสดงหรือเผยแพร่ในพื้นที่สาธารณะที่ใดมาก่อน ปล่อยกาลเวลาให้เปลี่ยนผ่านไปและพาช่วงเวลาที่เหมาะสมให้หวนกลับมาผลงานที่เกิดขึ้นในพื้นที่นี้คือการบอกเล่าเรื่องราวที่ถูกบิดเบือนหรือทอดทิ้งให้หลงลืมไปจากความทรงจำ การเชื่อมโยงกันด้วยเวลา พื้นที่และสถานการณ์ที่ส่งผลต่อปัจจุบันทางความรู้สึกของผู้คน ตั้งคำถามต่อความไม่เป็นธรรมที่ถูกอำพรางและคุณค่าของชีวิตที่ถูกทำให้ไร้น้ำหนักอย่างปลายเปิด ผลงานของ อ.พรชัย จึงควรค่าแก่การได้ทำหน้าที่ในฐานะเครื่องบันทึกเหตุการณ์ข้อเท็จจริงทางประวัติศาสตร์ เพื่อสะกิดให้ผู้ชมได้รับรู้ ตระหนักและรำลึกถึงความทรงจำที่หลับใหล เพราะเราคือผลกระทบจากเมื่อวานที่ถูกหล่อหลอมให้กลายเป็นปัจจุบัน
ในเรื่องราวทุกเหตุการณ์ ในชีวิตทุกชีวิตที่ดับสลายไปล้วนมีคุณค่าที่ไม่สามารถปล่อยให้เป็นอดีตที่ไม่อาจระลึก หรือยากจะจับต้องได้Artist

ทะลุฟ้า - ThalufahAn exhibition “Silhouette of memory” presents evidence and historic stories with events and timelines to reveal distorted and abandoned stories that have faded through authority and time. The illusional concept slowly becomes part of people’s routine without them noticing reality. The violence expands in a way that cannot be reversed and travel from the past to the present which is likely to transform to the future.
Pornchai Lerdthamsiri started to include Thai political events through his painting in 2006 when the situation was extremely intense. This project came from a collection of his son who is a part of every step of his father. Pornchai recorded stories through his eyes and description which occurred during real-time situations and areas in front of him. The artist has his son as an assistant to collect data and details of political events in front of them since the son was young. This collection has been secretly stored and has never been revealed or publicly exhibited anywhere. The artworks were being left through time, waiting until their perfect time to reform again.
All the paintings are the symbol of distorted stories and abandoned events that have been erased from people’s memories. A connection between time, places, and situations affects people’s feelings in the present which questioning obscured injustice and value of life that has been forgotten. Ajarn Pornchai's artworks are very valuable as a tool to unfold facts and history in the past to alarm the audience to realize and recapture forgotten memories. We are all an impact of the past which result in the present. Every situation and loss is worth to be remembered and should not be dissolved in the past.
