ไกลโพ้นฟ้าเหนือหมู่ดาราเจิดจ้า

จากกลุ่มดาวในห้วงกาแล๊คซี่ทางช้างเผือก ที่หมายคือดาวอีกดวงที่เหมือนลูกแก้วสีน้ำเงินลูกเล็กๆ เธอพุ่งผ่านท้องฟ้าอันมืดมิดเข้าสู่แสงสว่างที่อยู่ไกลโพ้น “ปู๊นปู๊น” กลุ่มดาวช้างกลายเป็นสิ่งมีชีวิต เธอสงสัยใคร่รู้ในโลกใบใหม่ราวกับเด็กน้อย ไร้เดียงสา มิตรภาพของความเป็นเพื่อนและ อายุขัยของกาลเวลา คือสิ่งที่ปู๊นปู๊นและเพื่อนๆได้เรียนรู้

นิทรรศการภาพเขียนประกอบหนังสือ ‘ปู๊นปู๊น’ หมู่ดาวช้างและเพื่อน (PoonPoon the Twinkle Elephant Star with friends) ที่บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของดาวช้างนึกสนุกออกเดินทางมายังโลก เธอไม่รู้อะไรเกี่ยวกับดาวเคราะห์ดวงนี้ สำหรับเธอโลก ช่างลึกลับและน่าอัศจรรย์ เมื่อปู๊นปู๊นบังเอิญได้พบกับ ‘รอก’ กระรอกที่อาศัยอยู่บนบ้านต้นไม้ในป่าเมือง และคุ้นเคยกับโลก ใบนี้มากกว่า เขาจึงเป็นเพื่อนคนแรกที่อาสาพาเธอออกเดินทางสำรวจโลก ทั้งสองได้พบกับความสวยงามของโลกกว้างใบนี้ ได้เป็นเพื่อนกับนกเขนน้อยคู่หนุ่มสาวและฝูงนกเป็ดแดง จนเมื่อถึงเวลาที่ปู๊นปู๊นเดินทางกลับบ้านบนกาแล๊คซี่ทางช้างเผือก เธอได้รู้ว่าการได้ใช้ชีวิตอยู่บนโลกใบนี้และช่วงเวลาที่อยู่กับเพื่อนๆ นั้น เป็นช่วงเวลาอันน่าจดจำเพียงใด ยามปู๊นปู๊นกลับไปอยู่ ที่ตำแหน่งดาวช้างบนอวกาศอันมืดดำ เธอคิดถึงเพื่อนๆมาก แต่เมื่อเวลาผ่านไป คืนหนึ่งปู๊นปู๊นได้เจอรอกและเพื่อนๆ อีกครั้ง พวกเขาได้กลายเป็นกลุ่มดาวระยิบระยับ วิ่งเล่น หยอกล้อกันอย่างสนุกสนานและส่องแสงสว่างมายังโลกในยามค่ำคืน

BIOGRAPHY
Thee Khanthavit is Bangkok based animation director and character designer.

He received Master degree of Fine Arts from The Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Art, Silpakorn University (2006). During his study Thee participated in various group art exhibitions such as “Here & Now” contemporary art exhibition by Thai Artists, Bangkok (2004), 10th International Contemporary Art Competition OSAKA TRIENNALE, Osaka (2001), “EURO vision” Thai - European Contemporary Art Exhibition, Bangkok (2000) and “Sony’s Heart Young Artist Online” Sony young artist online competition, Berlin (2000).

Khanthavit worked as Graphic Designer and Creative Director in fashion magazines at ELLE and CLEO in Bangkok (2003-2016).

Since 2013 he co-founded 9TSTORE in Bangkok where he starts to create the cartoon characters and product design. In 2018, he produces “KO Scotty” his first animation short film won BEST ANIMATION FILM at the Nadym International Film Festival, Russia (2019) and SEA Kre8tif! Bronze Next Gen and Award, Malaysia (2020). This film was screened at various international film festivals such as GLAS Animation Festival, USA (2019), Anibar International Animation Festival, Kosovo (2019) and Middlebury New Filmmakers festival, USA (2019). Moreover, the second animation short film, Mara, Tank the dog and chicken legs has been officially selected to Feel the Reel International Festival, United Kingdom (2020) and SHORT to the Point International Film Festival, Romania (2020).

In 2019, he created new characters, PoonPoon and Rork, the elephant star fell down to the Earth and coincidentally met the squirrel on the tree house of city park. The artworks, watercolor technic, are selected as a finalist for the International Artists Grand Prize Competition, Art Revolution Taipei (2021). His next project, Poonpoon and Rork animation short film, watercolor technic, will be launched in 2021 and many other formats.
