นิทรรศการ “La Tragedia” ผลงานโดย พัทธ์ ยิ่งเจริญ (Pat Yingcharoen) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 5 - 26 กันยายน 2563 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันเสาร์ที่ 5 กันยายน 2563 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ Number 1 Gallery : นัมเบอร์ วัน แกลเลอรี่

"La Tragedia" is the third solo exhibition of Pat Yingcharoen, who creates unique works with oil paint on canvas. At this time the artist has especially been aware and noticed conditions of the society and the world where everything seemed to rapidly going downturn and disappear. Additionally, the artist has constantly written down on his own journal along with the thought of how these adversities affect to his sentiment, consideration and his imagination in order to remind himself and inspire himself relating to all situations and expresses them through his works.

At this point, "La Tragedia" exhibition is likely comparable to a compilation of a plenty of novels into one, which has the certain meaning as “The Tragedy”. And this time is exhibited differently than the previous exhibitions because the works had created under one major concept. However, the artist had been inspired by particularly ancient art works, ancient mythology paintings and religious paintings. In this style of expression which presenting the current story through ancient art works are indicated the realization and consciousness of humans to the persistent cycle of globally catastrophes. In another perspectives, it can be a reflection of the unexpected tragedy that has not yet come.

“La Tragedia” นับว่าเป็นนิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งที่ 3 โดยพัทธ์ ยิ่งเจริญ ศิลปินที่สร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ด้วยจิตรกรรมบนสีน้ำมันผ้าใบ ในครั้งนี้ ศิลปินได้เฝ้าสังเกตและเห็นถึงสภาพสังคม โลกที่กำลังถดถอยเสื่อมสลายลงอย่างรวดเร็ว เนื่องด้วยความรู้สึก ความคิดคำนึง ไปจนถึงจินตนาการที่มีต่อเหตุการณ์อันสำคัญต่างๆ จำนวนมาก ศิลปินจึงได้ทยอยบันทึกเรื่องราวเหล่านั้นเพื่อเป็นบทสนทนาตอบสนองทั้งต่อเหตุการณ์ และตนเอง หรือในบางกรณีก็ใช้เหตุการณ์เหล่านั้นเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานซึ่งสื่อสารนัยยะบางประการเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์นั้นๆโดยเฉพาะ

ในแง่นี้ นิทรรศการ “La Tragedia” จึงคล้ายกับประมวลนิยายเรื่องสั้นหลายเรื่อง เข้าไว้ในหนังสือเล่มใหญ่เล่มเดียว ตรงตัวตามชื่อนิทรรศการ แปลความว่า “The Tragedy” หรือ “โศกนาฏกรรม” แตกต่างจากทั้งสองนิทรรศการก่อนหน้า ซึ่งผลงานทุกชิ้นล้วนถูกสร้างขึ้นภายใต้หัวข้อใหญ่เพียงเรื่องเดียว อย่างไรก็ดี ภาพประวัติศาสตร์ ปกรณัมโบราณ หรือภาพเขียนทางศาสนายังคงถูกศิลปินนำมาใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการสื่อสารสาระอันสำคัญเช่นที่เคยเป็นมา จึงอาจทำให้คิดไปได้ว่า ผลงานเหล่านี้คือบทประพันธ์ที่ใช้อดีตบอกเล่าเรื่องราวปัจจุบัน เพื่อให้เราได้ตระหนักถึงวัฏจักรที่เวียนซ้ำไม่รู้จบของเหตุการณ์ และในบางกรณี อาจสะท้อนถึงเค้ารางอันพร่าเลือนของโศกนาฏกรรมในอนาคตที่ยังมาไม่ถึงก็เป็นได้
