นิทรรศการ "อัตลักษณ์วิถีถิ่นทะเลใต้" นำเสนอผลงานจิตรกรรมลายทองภายใต้เรื่องราวเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับวิถีชีวิตของชาวประมงในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของไทย ซึ่งประกอบสัมมาอาชีพในท้องทะเลโดยอาศัยความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของทรัพยากรทางทะเล ฤดูกาล และความเปลี่ยนแปลงตามช่วงเวลาต่าง ๆ ในธรรมชาติ เป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการดำเนินชีวิต ร่องรอยของเครื่องมือเครื่องใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน อาทิ เรือ แห เชือก ฯลฯ สื่อสัญลักษณ์ของวัตถุปัจจัยที่มีความหมายต่อการดำรงชีวิต ลวดลายประดับประณีตบรรจงสื่อแสดงรากฐานทางวัฒนธรรมอันสืบเนื่องยาวนานมาจากอดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน

The exhibition "The Identity of the South" presents lacquer works that depict the life of anglers in the south of Thailand. Their lives depend on the abundant resources of the sea, seasons, and changes in nature. The things they use in everyday life like a boat, fishing net, rope, etc., are integral part of their living, while the delicate patterns render culture that has been deep-rooted in society from the past to the present.
