นิทรรศการ "พื้นที่ ความสัมพันธ์ : Butterfly in the closet" ผลงานโดย ธัญชนก ผลากุลสันติกร (Thunchanok Plakulsantikorn) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 3 - 24 สิงหาคม 2562 และจะมีพิธีเเปิดในวันเสาร์ที่ 3 สิงหาคม 2562 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ Number 1 Gallery : นัมเบอร์ วัน แกลเลอรี่

Thunchanok Plakulsantikorn the emerging artist from Burapha University with outstanding work that is very worth to watch for. The artist choose to express her artwork by using the technique of dust painting on the chalk. This technique is a well known technique that were used in various artists in the Middle Ages and the early revival era until the year 1500. Thunchanok have been using this technique until it became the unique identity of herself.

“Butterfly in the closet" is the second solo exhibition of Thanchanok with Number1 Gallery and this time, we will see the story telling of relationships and love in the artist's very own perspective.

"Love is often bounded under the attitude and various beliefs until it leads to fear and being afraid of change, afraid of losing, afraid of being rejected, and as well as afraid of not being good enough. These are all caused by mental fragility and it will eventually caused anonymity.

The true relationship can only happen when we are free from the outer shell because the intimacy begins from the feeling inside when the feeling connects and comfort each other until merged to one. This is the co existence and it is a love that arises from the courage to accept sincerity, honesty, and reveal true feelings”

Nature of feelings are often deep and complex which we can experience through the rhythm of the shape that the artist conveyed on the chalk surface that sometimes seems to fade away but you can still the traces of the color that overlapped with each other. It will give you the feeling of soft, charming, reflective, sensitive and fragile but warm at the same time.

In addition, Thunchanok Plakulsantikorn participated in numerous art exhibitions and solo exhibitions, including group exhibitions with the Number 1 Gallery and did received the various of good feedback from the Hotel Art Fair in both 2018 and 2019 as well. Furthermore, her artwork is very popular among foreigners after joining the international stage, such as the recent Art Expo Malaysia 2018.

ธัญชนก ผลากุลสันติกร ศิลปินจากมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพาที่มีผลงานโดดเด่นน่าจับตามอง ศิลปินเลือกถ่ายทอดผลงานผ่านเทคนิค จิตรกรรมสีฝุ่นบนดินสอพอง (Tempera) การเขียนด้วยวิธีดังกล่าวเป็นวิธีที่รู้จักกันมาตั้งแต่สมัยคลาสสิก เป็นที่นิยมในหมู่ศิลปินในยุคกลางและยุคฟื้นฟูศิลปะตอนต้นมาจนถึงปี ค.ศ. 1500 ซึ่งธัญชนกได้เลือกใช้เทคนิคนี้ จนกลายมาเป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นเฉพาะตัวของศิลปิน

"Butterfly in the closet พื้นที่ ความสัมพันธ์" เป็นนิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งที่สองของธัญชนก กับนัมเบอร์วันแกลลอรี่ ซึ่งในครั้งนี้ เราจะได้เห็นการบอกเล่าเรื่องราวของความสัมพันธ์และความรัก ในมุมมองของศิลปิน

"ความรัก มักถูกจำกัดขอบเขตภายใต้ทัศนคติ ความเชื่อต่างๆ จนเกิดเป็นความกลัว กลัวการเปลี่ยนแปลง กลัวการสูญเสีย กลัวถูกปฏิเสธ หรือกลัวว่าจะไม่ดีพอ เหล่านี้ล้วนมีต้นเหตุมาจากความเปราะบางทางใจ จนทำให้เกิดการปิดบังตัวตน

ความสัมพันธ์ที่แท้ (ความสนิทใจ) จะเกิดขึ้นได้ก็ต่อเมื่อเราเป็นอิสระจากเปลือกภายนอก เพราะความสนิทใจเริ่มต้นจากพื้นที่ความรู้สึกภายใน เมื่อความรู้สึกเชื่อมโยงและปลอบประโลมซึ่งกันและกัน จนหลอมรวมเป็นหนึ่งเดียว นี่คือการดำรงอยู่ร่วมกัน เป็นความรักที่เกิดจากความกล้าที่จะยอมรับ จริงใจ ซื่อตรง และเปิดเผยความรู้สึกที่แท้จริง”

ธรรมชาติของความรู้สึก มักมีความลึกซึ้งและซับซ้อน ซึ่งเราสามารถสัมผัสได้ผ่านจังหวะของรูปทรงที่ศิลปินถ่ายทอดลงบนพื้นผิวดินสอพอง ที่บางครั้งเหมือนจะเลือนหาย แต่ยังคงมองเห็น ร่องรอยของสีที่เกิดการการทับซ้อน ให้ความรู้สึกอ่อนนุ่ม มีเสน่ห์ สะท้อนอารมณ์ที่อ่อนไหว เปราะบาง หากแต่อบอุ่นในเวลาเดียวกัน

นอกจากนี้ ธัญชนก ผลากุลสันติกร ได้เข้าร่วมแสดงนิทรรศการศิลปะกลุ่มและนิทรรศการเดี่ยวมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น นิทรรศการกลุ่มร่วมกับทางนัมเบอร์วันแกลลอรี่ และได้รับการตอบรับเป็นอย่างดีจากการร่วมแสดงงานใน Hotel art fair ทั้งในปี 2018, 2019 นอกจากนี้ยังได้ความนิยมจากชาวต่างชาติมากมายหลังจากร่วมแสดงงานในเวทีระดับสากลอย่าง Art Expo Malaysia 2018 ที่ผ่านมา
