นิทรรศการ DEN ผลงานโดย มิ่งมันติก สุไลมาน (Mingmantic Sulaiman), ชนิกานต์ ทับทิม (Chanikarn Thabthim) และ แทนขวัญ ทรงพานิช (Tan-khwan Songpanich) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 29 มิถุนายน - 18 สิงหาคม 2562 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันเสาร์ที่ 29 มิถุนายน 2562 เวลา 17.30 น. ณ The Jam Factory Gallery

ห้องนั่งเล่นเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของบ้าน เน้นความสะดวกสบายในด้านการพักผ่อน มีความเป็นส่วนตัวของผู้เป็นเจ้าของบ้านโดยเฉพาะ ห้องนั่งเล่นจึงเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวัน

นิทรรศการ Den* เริ่มจากแนวคิดที่ว่า “จะทำยังไงให้ศิลปะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวัน” มิ่งมันติก สุไลมาน, ชนิกานต์ ทับทิม และแทนขวัญ ทรงพานิช นำประเด็นเหล่านี้มาสร้างผลงานศิลปะ และเล่าเรื่องผ่านผลงานที่เกิดขึ้นจากชีวิตประจำวัน เพื่อทำให้ศิลปะเป็นเรื่องใกล้ตัวและสนุก โดยนิทรรศการครั้งนี้จะเปลี่ยน แกลเลอรี่ เป็น ห้องนั่งเล่น ในแบบฉบับของศิลปิน

เริ่มด้วย ห้องรับแขก ห้องที่เข้าถึงได้ทันทีเมื่อก้าวเข้ามาในบ้าน ห้องที่ให้ความรู้สึกเป็นทางการ ระเบียบเรียบร้อย ใช้รับแขกได้ทุกขณะ หากสังเกตให้ดีจะเห็นว่าห้องรับแขกนี้ถูกสอดแทรกสีสันของเก้าอี้สีแดงเอาไว้ กำแพงสีขาวที่กั้นระหว่างห้อง เราจะพบพื้นที่ส่วนตัวของเจ้าของบ้าน ที่ตกแต่งด้วยผลงานศิลปะ มุมหนังสือ และของสะสมส่วนตัวของเจ้าของบ้าน ที่ให้ความรู้สึกอบอุ่น ปลอดภัย เป็นกันเอง

Den คือพื้นที่เล็ก ๆ ภายในบ้านให้เป็นกันเองกว่าห้องนั่งเล่น มีความเป็น ‘ รัง ’ อบอุ่น ปลอดภัย และรู้สึกสบาย ๆ นิทรรศการที่จะทำให้คุณตกหลุมรักและสนุกกับการอยู่บ้าน ร่วมสัมผัสความอบอุ่นแสนธรรมดาของครอบครัวนี้ไปด้วยกัน

Den* is part of a house that focuses on comfortable relaxation and the house owner’s privacy in particular, thus regarded as part of everyday life. The exhibition Den arose from the idea “How to combine art with daily life.” Consequently, Mingmantic Sulaiman, Chanikarn Thabthim and Tan-khwan Songpanich created art pieces based on such idea to express an everyday affair, making art more approachable and enjoyable.The exhibition transforms our art gallery into a den, as interpreted by the artists.

It begins with the living room – the room where the house entrance leads to first, the room which sends out formality and tidiness to welcome guests at all time. If you look carefully, the living room features the vibrancy of a red armchair which, in turn, brightens the room ambience. As you walk pass the white partition wall, you can see the house owner’s personal space which is decorated with art pieces, a book shelf and personal artifacts, giving a sense of warmth, security and friendliness.

Den refers to a cosy space in a house, which is more comfortable than a living room and offers the quality of being a warm, safe and relaxing ‘nook.’ The exhibition will make you love and relish staying at home. Together let’s experience the simple comfort of this family.

*Den คือ ห้องขนาดเล็กในบ้าน ที่ให้ความรู้สึกสะดวกสบายและเพื่อทำกิจกรรมต่างๆได้อย่างส่วนตัว พจนานุกรมแม็คมิลแลน (Macmillan) นิยาม den ว่าเป็นห้องห้องหนึ่งภายในบ้าน สำหรับพักผ่อนและใช้เวลาตามลำพัง ส่วน living room หมายถึง พื้นที่ส่วนหนึ่งของบ้านที่คนในครอบครัวมารวมตัวกัน

*Den is a small, comfortable room in a house where a person can pursue an activity in private. Macmillan defines it as a room in a house where someone goes to relax and be alone. In contrast, the living room is an area of the home where the family might convene together.
