นิทรรศการศิลปกรรม "MAGMA" ผลงานโดย กลุ่ม MAGMA ประกอบด้วย ศุภกิต อ่างสุวรรณ (Supakit Aaungsuwan), อภิชาติ คงดี (Apichat Kongdee), อภิรักษ์ เเก้ววิเชียร (Apirak Kaewwichian), ลลิดา เตรียมล้ำเลิศ (Lalida Triamlamlerd), จุฬารัตน์ เเซ่ฮิ้ว (Jurarat Saehiw), วงศกร เเสงวงศ์ (Wongsagon Sangwong) และ สีน้ำ สืบมาก (Sinam Suabmak) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 1 - 31 พฤษภาคม 2562 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 19 พฤษภาคม 2562 15.00 น. ณ YuYuan Art & Antique

MAGMA : การจุดประทุสปิริตของศิลปิน underdog

แมกมา เป็นสภาวะการเดินทางของสปิริตที่เติบโตในผู้สร้างสรรค์ศิลปะ ร่างกายเปรียบเหมือนเปลือกโลก หัวใจคือ แก่นกลางโลกที่ห่อหุ้มโอบรัดมวลสารสีแดงร้อนข้นของแมกมาไว้ การเลื่อนไหลเป็นไปตามจังหวะชีพจรเพื่อส่งสัญญาณนำทางต่อเจ้าของร่างนั้นให้เดินไปในเส้นทางศิลปะที่ไม่อาจมองเห็นด้วยตาเนื้อ

การเดินทางมักเริ่มต้นด้วยการคิดและทำงานศิลปะซึ่งเป็นช่วงเวลายาวนานของความสันโดษ แมกมาจะจำศีล ดิ่งลึกโดดเดี่ยวแต่ยินดี แต่ทว่าในระหว่างทาง แมกมาจะสร้างบททดสอบด้วยการกระชากเราให้สะดุ้งตื่น ขนลุก หน้าชา ตัวลอย เมื่อได้เห็นผลงานของศิลปินที่เหนือชั้นหรือความเจ็บช้ำจากคำวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ของคนตอกเสาเข็ม แรงกดดันมหาศาลจากเปลือกโลกกำลังท้าทายสปิริตของเราว่า จะต่อสู้เพื่อพิสูจน์ความสามารถหรือหนีไปเป็นผู้ชมข้างสนาม

ปลายทางของสปิริตจะมาถึงเมื่อผลงานศิลปะเสร็จสมบูรณ์ราวกับเห็นภาพสะท้อนตนเองในกระจก เมื่อนั้นสภาวะแมกมาจะเข้าสู่จุดเดือดของการประทุหลอมเหลวขั้นสูงสุด เพื่อบีบอัดหัวใจของผู้สร้างสรรค์ให้เปลี่ยนผ่านแมกมาเป็นลาวาผุดไหลกระจายออกสู่เปลือกโลกนั่นคือ การปลดปล่อยตัวตนของผู้สร้างสรรค์ด้วยการนำผลงานศิลปะออกมาปะทะสังสรรค์กับสาธารณชน จากนั้นผู้สร้างสรรค์จะกลับเข้าสู่วังวนของแมกมาอีกครั้ง เป็นเช่นนี้และชั่วนิรันดร์

การชมผลงานศิลปนิพนธ์ทั้ง 7 ชิ้นให้ได้อรรถรส จำเป็นต้องใช้ใจใน “การมองให้เห็นสภาวะแมกมา” เพื่อเข้าถึงอัตลักษณ์ตัวตนของผู้สร้างสรรค์ที่แฝงนัยสำคัญทางความคิดไว้อย่างน่าสนใจ
ในท้ายที่สุด แม้สภาวะแมกมาอาจสร้างความเสียหายให้แก่พื้นที่บางแห่ง แต่เมื่อเย็นตัวลงแล้วดินที่เกิดจากลาวาจะเป็นแร่ธาตุสำคัญอย่างดีสำหรับการเจริญเติบโตของเมล็ดพันธ์ทางศิลปะต่อไป

Magma is a status of a spiritual journey which is developed in an artist. The body is a metaphor of the earth’s crust while the heart is the earth’s core which wraps around the red masses of magma. The flow follows the pulse which transfers the direction signal to the one’s body to follow the art path which can’t be physically seen.

The journey often begins with thinking and creating an artwork which is a long period of time in solitude. Even if magma falls into a state of hibernation and fall into the solitude but it occurs voluntarily. However, during the journey, magma might be challenging artist by pulling and waking artist up with a flinching, numbing feeling and goosebumps when witnessing the top-class artist’s works or the pain from critics from those who are waiting to add insult to injury. In that case, the enormous pressure from the earth’s crust is challenging one’s fighting spirit whether the artist will insist to fight to prove one’s ability or to escape and become just a spectator on the side of the battlefield.

The destination of the spirit will arrive when the artwork is finished as if seeing one’s self-reflection in the mirror. It is the time that the magma will be boiled to its melting point and lead to the ultimate explosion. This is to put the pressure on the artist’s heart so that one can release the boiling magma out of the earth crust which is a metaphor of releasing of work’s artwork and let the public witnessing one’s creativity. After that, the creator of the artworks will go back to its stage of magma loops once again. This cycle will go on forever.

Witnessing all of the 7 pieces of painting required the mind to” observe and looking into the state of magma” to be able to reach the identity of the artist which his/her leave and hidden one’s significant thought in their works in an interesting fashion. Eventually, though the magma’s condition might lead to the damage in some area, when it was cooled, it leaves the important mineral for further growth of the artistic seed.
