Psychedelic Spirits art exhibition by two lovely Russian artists.
Ekaterina Dubrovskaya (Kato - nickname) and Leyla Sandshiko will be at Sathorn 11 art space from May 1 - 10. Opening exhibition show on May 4th 8:00pm.

Leyla Sandshiko (L. Sandzhieva) was born in Elista, Russia. She lives in Bangkok and Moscow. Her tiny, fragile and graceful statuette-like shape immediately attracts viewers. Her name, Leyla, translated as “night,” and it fits her perfectly: she is mysterious and brilliant, like the night itself. Perhaps this is why Leyla paints her pictures at night, to use the dark and passionate tones, which prevail in her palette. There is something mystical in her work and at first glance frightening, but as soon as you start to look at the details, you can feel energy and depth of the painting, how these sensations lead you into the world of color and illusions. For Leyla creating a new painting is a healing and meditative process that helps her to overcome the fears and sorrows of the modern world, to express her love and joy, lyricism and drama of human experiences. Her works are almost intuitive, spontaneous, and unconscious. This kind of Art therapy and its abstract technique helps her express complex sensations that are difficult to verbalize or symbolize.

Ekaterina Dubrovskaya (Kato)
Born in the Kaliningrad region (Russia)
She was educated in art school and later went on to study at St. Petersburg as a landscape and spatial designer. After this she moved to India to search for spiritual truth and also to find her spiritual path. For the first time in Kato’s life, she was so far from familiar places, faces, family, friends, and without good knowledge of English.... she went on this journey.
And it was there in India, that everything began ... the search for oneself, spiritual digging, spiritual development.... she was finding her path.
The environment of people, poverty, marginality of caste system...gave Kato a realization
that bitterness or rage, vices, and any feelings and emotions can be portrayed vividly in life and darkness can be an experience to be experiment on.
Kato is now working in the fashion industry, modeling, creative art and design and art exhibition.
Kato work have been sold in Russia and Thailand. This will be Kato first exhibition in Bangkok.
