นิทรรศการศิลปะ WE = ME Asean Art Exhbition and Symposium

หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ขอเรียนเชิญท่านร่วมเป็นเกียรติในพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการศิลปะ WE = ME Asean Art Exhbition and Symposium ณ ท้องพระโรง หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ เปิดนิทรรศการ วันพุธที่ 14 สิงหาคม 2556 เวลา 18.30 น. (นิทรรศการเปิดให้ชมตั้งแต่วันที่ 14 สิงหาคม ถึง 11 กันยายน 2556 พร้อมทั้งมีกิจกรรมเสวนาฯ)

ศิลปะ คือ เครื่องมืออันดีในการเเสดงตนของวัฒนธรรม วัฒนธรรมเเต่ละวัฒนธรรมนั้นล้วนมีความเเตกต่างกันไปตามราก พื้นถิ่น หรือภูมิภาคที่ดำรงอยู่ โดยการเเสดงตนในวัฒนธรรมภาวะปัจุบันที่ชัดเจนที่สุดคือการเเสดงออกทางศิลปะร่วมสมัยที่สามารถบ่งบอกความเป็นเเก่นเเท้ ตัวตน เเละความเป็นปัจจุบันในเเต่ละวัฒนธรรมได้อย่างมีมิติทางสังคมที่ครบถ้วน

เมื่อเป้าหมายของการเกิด ประชาคมอาเซียน คือ การสร้างประชาคมที่เป็นหนึ่งเดียว หลอมรวมอัตลักษณ์ที่แตกต่าง ซึ่งอาจเป็นสิ่งเกินจริงที่อยู่ในโลกอุดมคติ เพราะเมื่อความต่างนี้มาอยู่เคียงข้างกันย่อมที่จะเกิดภาวะหรือปรากฏการณ์ “ความเป็นอื่น” ต่อกันเเละกัน ดังนั้น การหลอมรวมเป็นหนึ่งนี้คงเป็นปลายทางที่ต้องมีกระบวนการเเห่งการเรียนรู้เพื่อไปสู่ความเป็นหนึ่งได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ นั่นคือ “การเเสดงตน ศึกษา ทบทวน เเละยอมรับ“ ในความต่างทางวัฒนธรรมที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในอีกไม่กี่ปีข้างหน้า และเมื่อเราได้แสดงตนผ่านความเข้าใจในตัวตนของตนเอง ศึกษาถึงผู้อื่น ทบทวนถึงจุดร่วมทางวัฒนธรรม เมื่อนั้น การยอมรับซึ่งกันและกันจะเป็นปลายทางที่สมบูรณ์ได้ และการหลอมรวมนั้น อาจไม่ใช่สาระสำคัญไปกว่าการเกิดกระบวนการเรียนรู้ที่จะยอมรับวัฒนธรรมอื่น เพราะท้ายที่สุด วัฒนธรรมเราก็คือวัฒนธรรมของพวกเรา

WE = ME Asean Art Exhbition and Symposium แบ่งเป็น 2 Session คือ 1.ส่วนของนิทรรศการศิลปะ โดยจะมีกิจกรรม Artist’s Talk ในวันอังคารที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2556 และ 2. ส่วนของกิจกรรมเสวนาโต๊ะกลมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นในหัวข้อ “ทิศทางศิลปะร่วมสมัย : อัตลักษณ์เรา - วัฒนธรรมร่วม” ซึ่งจะจัดในวันที่ 15-16 สิงหาคม 2556 

SESSION I: ART EXHIBITION
นิทรรศการศิลปะร่วมสมัย โดยศิลปินชั้นนำจาก 10 ประเทศอาเซียน และศิลปินรับเชิญจากประเทศจีน ซึ่งนำผลงานที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัยของแต่ละที่มาแสดงออกร่วมกันเพื่อเปิดพรมแดนความเป็นอื่นเพื่อจะศึกษา เข้าใจ และยอมรับในความแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างกันและกัน

ทั้งนี้ยังมีกิจกรรม Artist’s Talk พูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนเกี่ยวกับแนวคิดและการทำงาน ในฐานะศิลปินร่วมสมัยในชุมชนอาเซียน โดยจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 13 สิงหาคม 2556 ก่อนวันเปิดนิทรรศการ 1 วัน

Art reflects cultural characteristics, which differs from each locality. The best way to represent one’s present culture is to represent one’s contemporary art, which can reflect one’s identity and the present-day culture in every social aspect. Since the goal of ASEAN community is to create one community, which blends all cultural identities together,these differences can create the state of “otherness” from the lack of true understanding among each other. Therefore, it is significant to appreciate these differences by representing own culture, studying theirs and ours, reconsidering what is presented at present, and accepting the differences. Once these differences are recognised through learning attempt, there will be no boundary between each other and one’s culture will become the culture of all. 

WE = ME ASEAN Art Exhibition and Symposium has two sessions, the first session is Art Exhibition which will open on 14 August 2013. Artist’s talk to the public will be held on 13 August 2013. And the second session is the Roundtable Symposium under the topic “Contemporary Art of ASEAN : Identity of Us – Culture of All” which will held on 15-16 August 2013

SESSION I: ART EXHIBITION
WE=ME art exhibition is a contemporary art exhibition by selected ASEAN artists from 10 countries and a guest artist from China. Works reflecting contemporary cultural identity of each artist will be showcased here, as a way to open border between each cultural background, so that differences can be studied, understood, and appreciated.
