นิทรรศการ "สองคนยลตามช่อง #2 : Two men look out through the same bars #2" ผลงานโดย วิริยะ โชติปัญญาวิสุทธิ์ (Viriya Chotpanyavisut) และ ธณัฐชัย บรรดาศักดิ์ (Tanatchai Bandasak) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ - 8 มีนาคม 2561 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันเสาร์ที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2561 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ WTF Gallery and Cafe

ในความมืดมิด ดวงตามิได้ทำปฎิกิริยากับเเสงใดๆ ความมืดดำได้กลืนกินผัสสะทั้งโสตประสาท สู่การประมวลผลในสมอง ภาวะอื้ออึงที่ชินชาในสมองทำให้เราเฉยชากับสิ่งรอบข้างราวกับเรานั้นอยู่ลำพังในความมืดมิดตรงปลายเหวขอบผา หากเเต่ในด้านมืดย่อมมีอีกด้านที่สว่างเสมอ ราวกับดวงอาทิตย์ที่กำลังฉายเเสงกระทบอีกด้านของดวงจันทร์ที่ด้านหนึ่งสุกสว่างเเละอีกด้านหนึ่งดำมืดสนิทความมืดไม่เคยว่างเปล่า สิ่งต่างๆ ที่เคยปรากฏในเเสงย่อมคงอยู่เสมอเพียงขาดสิ่งกระตุ้นให้ปรากฏตัว ราวกับอุโมงค์ที่มืดสนิทย่อมมีเเสงสว่างที่ปลายอุโมงค์ ภายใต้สังคมที่มืดบอดย่อมมีเเสงสว่างที่พร้อมจะปรากฏ เเม้เพียงลำเเสงอันน้อยนิด หากแต่อยู่ในพื้นที่ที่มืดดำสนิท ก็จะเปล่งเเสงที่สวยงามจับตา
เช่นเดียวกับสิ่งหนึ่งที่ไม่เคยมืดบอดตาม แม้ในความมืดมิด นั่นคือ เสรีภาพ...

หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ร่วมกับ WTF Gallery and Cafe' ขอเชิญร่วมงานเปิดนิทรรศการ
"สองคนยลตามช่อง #2 โดย ศิลปินคนที่ห้า 5/6 วิริยะ โชติปัญญาวิสุทธิ์ (+ ธณัฐชัย บรรดาศักดิ์)"

วิริยะ โชติปัญญาวิสุทธิ์ ศิลปินคนที่ 5 ของโครงการที่หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้คัดเลือกมา โดยวิริยะยังได้ชวนศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ที่น่าจับตาอีกคน นั่นคือ ธณัฐชัย บรรดาศักดิ์ มาร่วมสร้างสรรค์ผลงานและแสดงนิทรรศการคู่กัน
นิทรรศการนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ exposed : up-and-coming artists ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรคัดเลือก 6 ศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ที่มีความน่าสนใจ ให้มาแสดงนิทรรศการของตนร่วมกับอีก 6 ศิลปินรุ่นใหม่

In darkness, the eyes don’t react to any light. The darkness has devoured our senses, up to the processes of our brains. The uproarious circumstance in the brain leads us unconcerned towards the surroundings as though we were alone in the darkness on the edge of a cliff. Yet, as goes darkness, so goes light, like the sun that shines against and brightens a side of the moon yet leaving another side shady.
Darkness has never been empty. Things that used to appear in light ought to remain existing. They just lack any motivation to make them appear. Metaphorically, a dark tunnel ought to have light at the way out, a blind society ought to hold some light which awaits its appearance, even a small amount of light in a totally blackened space ought to shine spectacularly.
Similarly, one thing that has never been blind in darkness is freedom...

by the fifth artist, 5/6 Viriya Chotpanyavisut (+ Tanatchai Bandasak)

Viriya Chotpanyavisut is the fifth artist of our 6 artists selected for the exposed : up-and-coming artists project of the Art Centre, Silpakorn University. In this exhibition, he invited another upcoming artist - Tanatchai Bandasak to showcase together. Exposed : up-and-coming artists project aim at supporting young emerging artists whose works show interesting perspective towards social issues.
