นิทรรศการศิลปะร่วมสมัย "The Enmeshed" ผลงานโดย มัรนีย์ แมแล (Marnee Maelae), สมัคร์ กอเซ็ม (Samak Kosem), อนุวัฒน์ อภิมุขมงคล (Anuwat Apimukmongkon), อาหามะ สาอิ (Ahama Sa-i) และ อัมรู ไทยสนิท (Amru Thaisnit) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 22 พฤศจิกายน - 24 ธันวาคม 2560 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันพุธที่ 22 พฤศจิกายน 2560 เวลา 16:00 น. ณ หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร : Art Centre Silpakorn University

นิทรรศการศิลปะร่วมสมัย The Enmeshed นำเสนอผลงานที่สะท้อนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับความเป็นปัจจุบันของผู้คนในพื้นที่ชายแดนใต้หลากหลายรูปแบบ ซึ่งโดยทั่วไปแล้วเรื่องราวเหล่านี้มักถูกถ่ายทอดผ่านภาพแทนของความรุนแรงและความไม่สงบเพียงเท่านั้น ทั้งนี้ก็เพื่อชักชวนให้ผู้ชมเข้ามาสัมผัสถึงวิธีคิดและการดำเนินชีวิตอันยากที่จะเข้าถึงหรือเข้าใจได้ผ่านสื่อกระแสหลักประเภทอื่น มุมมองเหล่านี้ถูกนำเสนอผ่านศิลปิน นักมานุษยวิทยา กลุ่มคนทำงานศิลปะร่วมสมัย กลุ่มคนทั่วไปในพื้นที่ รวมถึงนักกิจกรรมทางสังคมและการเมือง เพื่อร่วมกันบันทึกเรื่องราวและความเป็นไปที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นจริงของคนในสังคมหนึ่ง ที่ดูเหมือนว่าจงใจถูกทำให้พัวพันกับความขัดแย้งและความไม่สงบในชีวิตประจำวันแต่ละวันมาเป็นระยะเวลานาน ทว่า บันทึกร่วมสมัยเล่มนี้ยังสามารถทำหน้าที่เสมือนเป็นภาพสะท้อนให้เราต่างฉุกคิดเกี่ยวกับความขัดแย้งที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมอื่นๆรอบตัว ซึ่งกำลังกัดกร่อนสติปัญญาและทดสอบความเป็นมนุษย์ของเรา อย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้

**The Enmeshed เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ [R]Ejecting Mantra - ต้านมนตร์ โครงการนิทรรศการศิลปะร่วมสมัยรูปแบบต่อเนื่อง โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรวบรวมและบันทึกข้อมูลเชิงประวิติศาสตร์และสังคม-การเมือง ควบคู่ไปกับการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะผ่านการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างศิลปินและผู้เชียวชาญในสาขาต่างๆ เพื่อนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับ ‘มายาคติว่าด้วยแนวคิดชาตินิยม’ ในประเด็นที่แตกต่างกัน ซึ่งมายาคติเหล่านี้ต่างก่อให้เกิดความไม่เท่าเทียมกันของสังคม ในทุกๆระดับชั้น**

'The Enmeshed' contemporary art exhibition presents the selected works that reflect upon variety of current states of people in the southernmost region, where these anecdotes are usually conveyed through image of violence and unrest. This is to invite the audience to connect with their actual lifestyle and notion which is normally difficult to access or understand through other types of media. These perspectives are presented through an anthropologist, artists, cultural workers, local people and groups of socio-political activists, by sharing records of their story and the reality happening in one society—seemingly to have been deliberately enmeshed by conflict and uneasiness in everyday life for a long time. This contemporary record can also serve as a reflection of dispute in other societies around us, which are unavoidably corroding our mentality and humanity at last.

**The Enmeshed is part of a research and archive based exhibition project [R]Ejecting Mantra, with continuing format of contemporary art exhibition series. We aim to gather and record historical and socio-political data as well as to create works of art through collaboration between artists and specialists in various fields, in order to question and criticize over consequences of 'Nationalist Ideology, Myth and Discourse' compulsion in diverse dimensions, where such intimidation creates inequality among society at every level.**
