นิรรศการแสดงปริญญานิพนธ์ ‘CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai’ ผลงานโดยนิสิต สาขาวิชาออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสาร คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม - 5 สิงหาคม 2558  และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม 2558 ณ หอนิทรรศการศิลปวัฒนธรรม มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ : CMU Art Center

จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และ CommDe Chula ขอนำเสนอ 'CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai' งานแสดงปริญญานิพนธ์ของนิสิตสาขาวิชาออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสาร คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย

ตลอดสี่ปี พวกเราที่ CommDe ได้ก้าวย่างเข้าไปในพรมแดนใหม่ๆ สำรวจความเป็นไปได้มากมายมหาศาลในสาขาวิชาออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสาร ทดลองกับเครื่องมือและสื่อต่างๆหลากชนิด และสั่งสมทักษะความเชี่ยวชาญในการสื่อสารข้อความออกไปผ่านงานออกแบบ งาน ‘'CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai' เป็นบทสรุปของประสบการณ์ที่ผ่านมาของพวกเราผ่านสื่อทางศิลปะและการออกแบบหลากหลายตั้งแต่ งานออกแบบกราฟิก งานออกแบบเสียง งานภาพเคลื่อนไหว งานภาพถ่าย งานภาพประกอบ ไปจนถึงงานแนวทดลอง เราขอเชิญชวนทุกคนให้มาร่วมสำรวจแนวทางที่พวกเรานักออกแบบรุ่นใหม่ได้ค้นหาวิธีที่ต่างกันออกไปในการตีความและสื่อสารความคิดออกไปยังผู้คนในโลกกว้าง

‘CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai’ จะถูกจัดแสดง ณ หอนิทรรศการศิลปวัฒนธรรม มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ จากวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม ถึงวันที่ 5 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2558
วันเปิดนิทรรศการ วันเสาร์ที่ 25 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2558 เวลา 14.00 - 19.00 น.
เสวนาเปิดนิทรรศการ โดย คุณเคลวิน หว่อง และนักออกแบบรับเชิญ เวลา 14.00 น.

เป็นคำพูดที่ถูกหยิบยกมาจากคำแนะนำต่อศิลปินรุ่นเยาว์โดย John Baldessari ศิลปินชื่อดังชาวอเมริกัน
จริงอยู่ที่พวกเรานิสิตที่ CommDe ไม่ได้ถูกฝึกฝนโดยตรงให้เป็นศิลปิน แต่เราคิดว่าคำพูดประโยคนี้สามารถถูกนำมาใช้ในบริบทของกิจกรรมที่ต้องใช้ความสร้างสรรค์ทุกประเภท โดยเฉพาะในขอบเขตการออกแบบสื่อสารที่พวกเราเรียน เพื่อทำความเข้าใจแง่มุมความคิดเรื่องการถูก 'ครอบงำ' โดยแนวทางการสร้างสรรค์ของตัวเอง เราได้เชิญ คุณเคลวิน หว่อง นักออกแบบกราฟิคจาก kkelvinstudio (และอาจารย์ที่น่ารักของพวกเรา) และแขกรับเชิญ มาเล่าเรื่องราวของการที่พวกเขาถูก 'ครอบงำ' โดยแนวทางการสร้างสรรค์ของตนเองตลอดเส้นทางสายอาชีพ ตั้งแต่การตัดสินใจแรกเริ่มสู่ปัจจุบัน

Chulalongkorn University and CommDe Chula presents 'CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai' - the degree exhibition of graduates from the International Program in Communication Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University.

During the 4 years in Commde, We have tread into new territories, explore multitudes of possibilities in the communication design discipline, experiment through widening arrays of medium, and accumulate skills to communicates our messages.'CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai' is our conclusion of these experiences through various medium from graphic design, sound, time-based and interaction design, photography, illustrations to experimental approaches. You are invited to come and explore how we young designers seeks out different ways to interpret and communicate new ideas towards the audience in this ever sprawling world.

‘CommDe Creative Walk'15 in Chiang Mai’ will be exhibited at the Chiang Mai University Art Center from 25 July to 5 August 2015. The opening reception will be held on Saturday 25 July 2015 from 14.00 pm onwards.

There will be a special talk with Kelvin Wong from kkelvinstudio and a local designer on the topic of :
"You Have To Be Possessed Which You Can't Will, But How?"
"You Have To Be Possessed Which You Can't Will."
This is a quote from the world famous artist John Baldessari's advice for young artists.
Indeed us at CommDe Chula are not trained directly to be an artist but We think this quote could be apply to all creative endeavours especially in our field of communication design. To gain a better understanding of this notion of "being possessed" by one's own creative practice. We invited a well known Thai graphic designer (and our lovely teacher) Kelvin Wong and another secret guest to tell us their own story of how they've been possessed by their own creative practice through the course of their career from their primary decision to the present.

Exhibition hours will be from 9:00 to 17:00.
