เดือนกรกฏาคม 2558 นี้ ขัวศิลปะ เชียงรายภูมิใจนำเสนอนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายของเฮนรี่ แกน ช่างภาพชาวอเมริกันเชื้อสายจีน ในชื่อนิทรรศการ “Intuition” พิธีเปิดนิทรรศการ วันเสาร์ที่ 4 กรกฏาคม 2558 เวลา 18.00 น. ประธานในพิธีโดยคุณเตือนใจ ดีเทศน์ ผู้ก่อตั้งและที่ปรึกษามูลนิธิพัฒนาชุมชนและเขตภูเขา (พชภ.) ณ ขัวศิลปะ เชียงราย
ในปี 2555 ศิลปินได้เริ่มต้นการเดินทางเพื่อออกค้นหาความหมายของชีวิตหลังจากความตายของบุคคลอันเป็นที่รักของเขา เขาค้นพบว่าความแตกต่างด้านภาษา และวัฒนธรรม เป็นการยากที่จะสื่อสารกับผู้คนที่เขาได้ไปพบ หากเขาเลือกที่จะใช้สายน้ำ เพื่อเป็นตัวกลางในการเชื่อมโยงจิตวิญญาณกับผู้ที่ได้มาร่วมถ่ายภาพกับเขา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแม่น้ำ ลำคลอง บึง ทะเล มหาสมุทรหรือแท็งค์น้ำที่เขาสร้างขึ้น ภาพถ่ายเหล่านี้จะถูกนำมาจัดแสดง ณ ขัวศิลปะ เชียงราย ซึ่งเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของความคิดในการทำงานชุดนี้ รายได้ส่วนหนึ่งจากงานแสดงนิทรรศการนี้ จะสนับสนุนโครงการ The SOLD Project ที่ทำงานต่อต้านการค้ามนุษย์ โสเภณีเด็ก และการล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ
เฮนรี่ แกน จบการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัย Southern California เริ่มต้นอาชีพช่างภาพอิสระที่อเมริกา เป็นเวลา 8 ปีก่อนจะกลับมาก่อตั้ง บริษัท “Two Quarters Ltd.” เกี่ยวกับด้านภาพถ่ายและโปรดักชั่นเซอร์วิส ที่ฮ่องกง โดยได้ขยายการสายงานไปที่ประเทศจีน และเติบโตในแวดวงภาพถ่ายโฆษณา งานที่สำคัญคือ Beijing Olympic และโฆษณาสินค้าจากบริษัทต่างชาติและในจีนชื่อดังอีกมากมาย
สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจนิทรรศการจัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 4-31 กรกฏาคม 2558 ณ ขัวศิลปะ เชียงราย เปิดให้เข้าชมทุกวัน โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย เวลา 10.00-19.00 น.

“Water is one of the most important elements of this Earth, yet we often ignore its dominance of nature.”
Henry Gan, 2015.In 2012, Photographer Henry Gan went on a spiritual journey to find a new purpose after the death of a loved one. Throughout this journey he discovered water as a medium to connect with local culture on a personal and spiritual level. This upcoming exhibition at ArtBridge, Chiang Rai, will display the images from his work, in the place where the idea was born. All works are for sale and part of the proceeds from sales go to The SOLD Project, whose mission is to prevent child exploitation in Thailand.
Henry Gan : American Chinese Photographer Graduated at The University of Southern California, started as a freelance photographer Los Angeles. Giving for the deep enthusiasm for photography, came back to Hong Kong after spending 8 years in the States, founded “Two Quarters Ltd.” in 1998 now bringing one of the upcoming photography & production service in Hong Kong. Pursuing the passion and professionalism in photography, started to explore the Main Land China market in the year of 2000. Through out the past years, had grown with the China commercial photography market. Especially this year, due to the Beijing Olympic, had served many mega Foreign and Chinese companies on their major campaigns.
