นิทรรศการ "หาย ณ. สถาน : Disappear into Thin Air" ผลงานโดยโดย ต่อวงศ์ วุฒิวงศ์ (Torwong Wutthiwong) จัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน - 20 ธันวาคม 2563 และจะมีพิธีเปิดในวันศุกร์ที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2563 เวลา 18.30 น. ณ EX SPACE หอศิลป์สนามจันทร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร พระราชวังสนามจันทร์ จ.นครปฐม

ขอเชิญร่วมงานเปิดนิทรรศการล่าสุดในพื้นที่ EX SPACE พื้นที่ศิลปะที่เป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างหอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ปรัชญา พิณทอง และ the Centre Pompidou ประเทศฝรั่งเศส

ขอเชิญร่วมงานเปิดนิทรรศการ "หาย ณ. สถาน" โดย ต่อวงศ์ วุฒิวงศ์

ในบริบทสังคมการเมือง ฝ่ายมีอำนาจเหนือกว่าย่อมอยากทำลายสิ่งเก่าเพื่อลบเลือนประวัติศาสตร์ในเรื่องที่ฝ่ายตนเองไม่ต้องการที่จะให้สังคมจดจำ และเขียนใหม่ด้วยเจตจำนงของอุดมการณ์ตนที่มองว่ามรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของอีกฝ่ายคือรอยมลทินที่ประทับอยู่ การลบล้างความทรงจำที่กระทำต่อกันจึงปรากฏในสังคมอย่างซึ่งหน้า

นิทรรศการ หาย ณ. สถาน โดย ต่อวงศ์ วุฒิวงศ์ สะท้อนภาพฉายของการทำให้ตัวแทนความทรงจำหนึ่งบิ่นแตก จืดจาง และเลือนหายไป สิ่งที่ปรากฏคือภาพที่ไม่สมประกอบของอาคารสถาปัตยกรรมหรือวัตถุทางประวัติศาสตร์ที่เป็นเสมือนตัวแทนความทรงจำนั้น การทำลายล้างความทรงจำมิได้ทำให้เราไม่จำ หากแต่จะทำให้เราขุดลึกไปในที่มาของความทรงจำและพร้อมที่จะสร้างมันขึ้นมาใหม่ด้วยหัวใจอันเสรี

นิทรรศการนี้เป็นนิทรรศการในชุด Excavation # 2 : I am not an artist, but I am …… ที่เป็นดังการทดลองที่เปิดพื้นที่ให้คนที่เคยคลุกคลี/พัวพันกับการสร้างผลงานศิลปะของศิลปินต่างๆ โดยผู้สร้างผลงานเหล่านี้มิอาจกล่าวได้ว่าเป็น “ศิลปิน” เต็มตัว หากแต่เขาหรือเธอเหล่านั้นยังประกอบอาชีพอื่นๆที่สามารถเลี้ยงชีพได้ในสังคมปัจจุบัน มาแสดงออกผ่านผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยในพื้นที่ EX SPACE

เปิดนิทรรศการในวันศุกร์ที่ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2563 เวลา 18.30 น.

In politics, the more powerful side wants to write a grand historical narrative and erase an alternative version of history as written by the less powerful one.They regard the legacy of the less powerful one as impure. These vigorous attempts to redact and blot out memory, ridiculously and recklessly made by both sides, have recently become more manifest.

The exhibition, “Disappear into Thin Air” by Torwong Wutthiwong, is a representation of efforts to break, wear down and dissolve the memory. What appears are disfigured images of architectural buildings and historical artefacts that represent such memory. The memory erasure does not incapacitate our abilities to remember, but it compels us to unearth the origins of memory to reconstruct it anew with our hearts unchained.

This exhibition is a part of exhibition series, Excavation # 2: I am not an artist, but I am … , an experimental space in which those involved or engaged in creating artworks side by side with professional artists come to express thoughts through their artworks at the EX SPACE.

Opening exhibition is on Friday 13 November 2020 at 6.30 pm.
The exhibition will be on view from 13 November to 20 December 2020, 9 am - 4 pm, Mon - Sat.
