ไลลาแกลเลอรีภูมิใจเสนอนิทรรศการ messages from nowhere to nowhere โดยศิลปินหญิงรุ่นใหม่ที่น่าจับตามอง ปิยะรัศมิ์ ปิยะพงศ์วิวัฒน์ โดยพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการจะจัดขึ้นในวันเสาร์ที่ 3 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2558 เวลา 18.30 น. เป็นต้นไป

นิทรรศการ messages from nowhere to nowhere เป็นการนำเสนอผลงานชุดล่าสุดของ ปิยะรัศมิ์ ปิยะพงศ์วิวัฒน์ โดยนิทรรศการนี้เกิดจากการทำงานในการเข้าร่วมโครงการศิลปิน ในพำนักที่ไทลิวูด อาร์ทิสเรสซิเดนซี (Thaillywood Artist Residency) เป็นระยะเวลา 3 เดือน ที่อำเภอบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี ปิยะรัศมิ์มักทำงานเกี่ยวเนื่องกับประเด็นร่วมสมัย โดยเฉพาะสังคมศาสตร์ และมนุษยศาสตร์ โดยการนำแนวคิดของนักปรัชญา นักคิด นักเขียนในศาสตร์ดังกล่าวมาเป็นกรอบความคิดในการทำงานศิลปะ ในนิทรรศการ messages from nowhere to nowhere ปิยะรัศมิ์ทำงานเกี่ยวกับประเด็นโลกาภิวัตน์ (globalization) และนำแนวความคิดเรื่องมโนทัศน์ ท้องถิ่นข้ามท้องถิ่น (translocality) จากหนังสือ Modernity at Large: Cultural Dimensions of Globalization ของนักมานุษยวิทยา ร่วมสมัยคนสำคัญอย่างอาจัน อัปปาดูรัย (Arjun Appadurai) มาใช้เป็นกรอบความคิดในการทำงาน

ปิยะรัศมิ์เลือกทำงานในหัวข้อดังกล่าวกับผู้คนในชุมชนอย่างเขตการปกครองพิเศษพัทยาและพื้นที่โดยรอบ ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วยผู้คนจากหลากหลายชาติพันธุ์ เเละเป็นเมืองที่มีอัตราการย้ายถิ่นฐานสูงจังหวัดหนึ่ง นิทรรศการ messages from nowhere to nowhere เป็นดังการนำเสียงสะท้อนจากผู้คนในพื้นที่หนึ่งมาร้อยเรียงขึ้นใหม่ และบอกเล่าเสียงที่ดูเหมือนไม่มีความหมาย รวมถึงเสียงที่ไม่เคยถูกรับฟังเหล่านั้น ผ่านชุดผลงานที่ประกอบไปด้วย ผลงานวีดีโอ ผลงานที่ทำจากไฟนีออน และผลงานภาพถ่ายสารคดี

Lyla Gallery is pleased to invite you to messages from nowhere to nowhere, a solo exhibition by emerging Thai artist, Piyarat Piyapongwiwat. The opening reception will take place on 3 October 2015, 6.30 onward.

messages from nowhere to nowhere exhibition is meant to present latest work by Piyarat. The project was initiated and executed in Pattaya city and the surrounding area near Banglamung district, Chonburi province where Piyarat spent 3 months artist in residency program at Thaillywood Artist Residency. Piyarat's work often engaged with contemporary issues, especially in Sociology and Anthropology by utilize the ideas, theories or concepts as a framework in her art practice. In messages from nowhere to nowhere exhibition, Piyarat work in the field of globalization, and employ the idea of 'translocality' from a book, Modernity at Large: Cultural Dimensions of Globalization by contemporary anthropologist, Arjun Appadurai.

In this exhibition, Piyarat chooses to work on the subject of translocality in the area of Pattaya which is special administrative area, the city comprises with people from various background, ethnic, race etc. Piyarat collects phrases and sentences from people reside in the area and recreate the meaning out of it. The exhibition comprises with work ranging from video, neon and documentary photograph.
